"20-50 year sudden change"? That graph's axis is in thousands of years. ???

::)  Okay I exaggerated a tad

Here is one of more relevance to us  showing the mini ice ages

The server here is not the best.  [grin]

What does that mean?

QuoteWhere did this graphic come from?  I did a search but found nothing.

Some paper somewhere LOL I forget which  but the data is here:

DOE - Oak Ridge National Laboratory/Battell Inc

Historical Carbon Dioxide Record from the Vostok Ice Core
Period of Record 417,160 - 2,342 years BP
http://cdiac.ornl.gov/trends/co2/vostok.html

That is an abstract  I have the original paper here somewhere

Here is another graphic of trapped CO2  It roughly corresponds to the other chart

Hope that helps [grin]

Well, yeah, but who created the graph?  Was it created by z?  Linking here just shows We have the graphic attached.  I want the source of the image, not TLM.  [smile]

Say please next time...

Come to think of it, that's probably also why we've had what seems like warming.  We will go to the warm extreme first, and then the system will swing back to cold in an attempt to rebalance itself.

Yes increases solar activity causes what we are calling global warming. That warming causes changes to weather patterns and ocean currents that in turn trigger the next ice age  add to that a decline in solar output and there ya go...

Time to chop firewood and stock up  just in case. Don't forget that IF it happens the food growing areas will be under water or under ice sheets

8)

OH an the shifting weather patterns and shifting continents as weight is removed by melting ice is also a factor.  Means more sever earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanos

Not that we have seen any of that right? It's all HAARP's fault

::)

Amaterasu

Thanks for the data, z.

Why should I say "please" to someOne that I am not asking for the info from?
"If the universe is made of mostly Dark Energy...can We use it to run Our cars?"

"If You want peace, take the profit out of war."

Unfortunately I have no firewood. Or fireplace for that matter. Apartment dweller here. Suppose the old "adapt, improvise, overcome" paradigm will have to be dusted off. "And right quick.", as the saying goes.

I don't think "right quick" is necessary  I would simply have a PLAN B ready

Mormons have a sound answer.  It is REQUIRED of every Mormon to have a BUG OUT BAG

This bug out bag consists of everything you will need immediately for a 72 hour period for EACH family member

Most emergencies like weather, earthquakes's etc  it is the first 48 hours that is critical.  Once that goes buy emergency services are starting to get to the problem

I made a thread here at the beginning  Had it all laid out, but it got deleted in the first attack we had and a subsequent error in restoring

I will do that thread again (or more likely on a webpage)

The biggest issue is MOBILITY  A human can go several days without food and water and you can find stuff along the way if need be

But IF you had to move south to escape the ice flows, be prepared for grid lock   8)  Not that the ice will come that fats  but once everyone know the sh!t is coming down the pipes the roads outta town will soon be a jam

Lotta open space down here. Yes its a dessert but when the temps drop that will change rapidly. You should see the desert after a single rain... see how fast it blooms to life

Food?  Prickley Pears, Yucca Root all over the place. Wild Melons Jack Rabbits Quails and Lizard (taste like chicken) No need to eat bugs  (yech)

All that matters really is to be READY for ANY emergency and have a route out of town, even if that means a knapsack and good hiking boots
