Has Science Discovered God?

I debated about where to post this, and I decided to put it here, as it is more a discussion of science and the thoughts of scientists than of God. Certainly this article is presented by a non-science website, but some of the science thoughts presented are very interesting, relative to the question of how all that exists ..... came into existence.

Einstein didn't believe it was possible.

Stephen Hawking said it might be the greatest scientific discovery of all time.

What discovery has baffled the greatest scientific minds of the past century, and why has it caused them to rethink the origin of our universe? New, more powerful, telescopes have revealed mysteries about our universe that have raised new questions about the origin of life.

Has science discovered God?

But wait a minute! Hasn't science proven we don't need God to explain the universe? Lightning, earthquakes and even babies used to be explained as acts of God. But now we know better. What is it about this discovery that is so fundamentally different, and why has it stunned the scientific world?

This discovery and what molecular biologists have learned about the sophisticated coding within DNA have many scientists now admitting that the universe appears to be part of a grand design.

One cosmologist put it this way: "Many scientists, when they admit their views, incline toward the teleological or design argument."[1]

Surprisingly, many scientists who are talking about God have no religious belief whatsoever.[2]

So, what are these stunning discoveries that have scientists suddenly speaking of God?

Three revolutionary discoveries from the fields of astronomy and molecular biology stand out:

1. The universe had a beginning

2. The universe is just right for life

3. DNA coding reveals intelligence

The statements leading scientists have made about these discoveries may shock you. Let's take a look.

Ahh, I've just finished reading Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol which heavily featured the Noetic Sciences and Esoteric discoveries.

The conclusions certainly raise more questions..

I suppose it also depends how you define "God"

Most people consider god to be a humanoid being sitting 'up there' watching over things

Yoda says it is an all inclusive life force

What if the Universe itself is sentient and we are merely the brain cells by which the Universe exists?

We consider infinity to go in all directions  so by that logic perhaps the BIG BANG was someone splitting an atom on another Universe

Russian scientists in space doing PLASMA experiments found that plasma in a space environment naturally forms a DNA spiral. It has been found that plasma exhibits characteristics of life. Plasma is what stars become when the explode  Plasma is what creates new stars  Plasma makes up most of the visible universe. Plasma is energy and matter   Plasma behaves like a fluid

So all hail the GREAT PLASMA  :D

The problem with Christianity as a specific religion, is not that it lacks truth.  Christianity contains heaps of it.  The problem is that church authorities have very often attempted to distort, and even outright bury said truth, because they want to be able to control people; and as John of Patmos rightfully observed, the truth tends to be incompatible with attempts at control. ;)

There are two main issues that I want to point out here, in order to get people thinking a bit, where Christianity is concerned.  I could go into a lot of other stuff if I wanted to, but it would take ages.  These will suffice for the moment; and they are also relatively obvious things, as well.

a}  The first is that God is not a "He," but a "They."  If you look at Genesis, you'll notice that the original Hebrew term for God, in the earliest parts of the book, is "the Elohim."  Translated, this term refers to a collective or group of beings, specifically associated with the God El.

The point is that in my mind at least, monotheism isn't an accurate perspective, strictly speaking.  Even if you think in terms of God the Father, the Bible still talks about a fairly large number of angels; and in the Jewish tradition and various other places, the angels are usually described as having various offices, similar to ministers in temporal governments.

b}  The second point that I will mention here, has to do with sound or harmonics.  David Icke actually brings this one up.  Genesis says that, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

There are only three things that exist.  Frequency, object address, and state; and the latter two are abstractions.

This is a problem, because Christianity itself never actually does much with this idea.  Yes, there is some tradition of plainsong among Catholic monks, (which is often beautiful) but if you really want to try and understand this, you have to go outside Christianity, to Hinduism.  The reason why is because Hinduism has a long tradition of the use of "beej," or "seed" mantras during meditation; specific sounds which the hearing or utterance of, is supposed to propel the speaker or listener into advanced spiritual states.

There is also a big clue here, where evolution is concerned; and this opens the door for reconciling evolutionary theory with intelligent design.

If you watch this, you begin to understand how certain fluid media can be animated, or actually made to move, when they are in the presence of particular sounds.  If you read the accounts of what happened at Findhorn as well, what you start to realise is that the process is one where, the actual template or design for a given species, is first worked out within the aether itself; and then certain spirits are employed in the process of translating said astral template into physical matter.  Cymatics or the use of sound, as shown in the above video, is a big part of that process.

So yes, evolution does occur; it's just that it happens under a form of distributed guidance.  Materialistic science does not accept this, however, and can't; because it only measures what is occurring physically.  Hence, although evolution is actually more an effect than a cause, because it is as close to the cause as said materialistic science can get, the assumption is that it is the cause itself.
