Well Pimander, it did actually happen, the which I have accepted by faith anyway! However, news of recent times, and news as recent as yesterday, displays the why of the parting of the sea being historically relevant reality and true.

A News article from the Christians in Pakistan website presents discovery information that details physical findings on the sea floor that includes wheels, chariot bodies, as well as human and horse bones. Apparently, some of this work has been going on for quite a few years.

Remains of bones and chariots of Pharaoh's army discovered by divers in Gulf of Aqaba. Followed by discovery of these coral-encrusted remains has generated wide spread conjecture that this might be the actual route of Israel's crossing of the Red Sea when the water was parted by the Lord.

Exodus 14:1-30 comprehensively and precisely reveals one of the most astounding Divine intervention when the Israelites fled from the army of Pharaoh which was pursuing them.

As Exodus 14 states the entire Egyptian army was engulfed by the raging waters as they returned to normal after parting in two creating a safe passage for the Israelites. The lately discovered remains serve as an imperative evidence that the Biblical narrative is truly genuine.

Previously, many have taken up the task of tracking down artefacts of the drowned Egyptians under the waters of Gulf of Suez in pursuit of archaeological evidence to the Biblical narrative. It was in 1978, that Ron Wyatt speculated that Nuweiba, a large beach in the Gulf of Aqaba could be the route followed by Israelites through the waters to the other side.

After oft-repeated daring dives in depths from 60 to 200 feet deep (18m to 60m), in excess of a stretch of about 2.5 km, mind-boggling sights dazzled the divers when they witnessed the chariot parts scattered across the sea bed. Moreover, the artefacts recovered by the divers include wheels, chariot bodies as well as human and horse bones.
