This is VERY Interesting !...

Just watching this Horizon Program, and I am amazed at what it shows about other Solar Systems..

And How some large planets orbit their stars much quicker at a variety of speeds and times..

Also some of the large Gas Giants like Jupiter are much closer to their suns than ours ..in some cases this maybe in general comparison or proportional relative to what ever size  the Stars and Planets maybe.. which in some cases other solar systems and stars and Planets  will be much bigger than ours.

Some of the large close Gas giants should be melting or losing heir gases in other Solar systems closer to Large  Hot Stars , but they are not .. WHY Not ? is the question...

I had no idea this was how such Solar systems maybe...and we are finding new ones daily..

see this video..

Horizon: Secrets of the Solar System
Today on BBC Four from
BBC Four
2014-2015, Episode 8
Series exploring topical scientific issues. New planets are now being discovered outside our solar system on a regular basis, and these strange new worlds are forcing scientists to rewrite the history of our own solar system. Far from a simple story of stable orbits, the creation of our solar system is a tale of hellfire, chaos and planetary pinball. It's a miracle our Earth is here at all

Excellent program Astro, thanks for sharing!  8)

It now appears that

Worlds in Collision by Immanuel Velikovsky

and

The Twelfth Planet by Zecharia Sitchin

were on the right track, despite being lambasted and scoffed at by their peers and scientists of the day.

Here is the Kepler Orrery III video briefly shown during the program -

and the Kepler Orrery of small systems -

and the most recently updated Kepler Orrery IV -

What a magnificent divergence in the creation of solar systems!  8)

Thanks for posting the Orrery videos A51..

I was looking for some images of that were the Program shown all those Solar systems all together... I had never quite seen anything like that before and was amazed by it..

Yes one wonders about the possible 10th Planet or maybe more..

Theres all the asteroids in their belt.. then what seems out solar system ones.

Then maybe one wonders if maybe Nibiru may come into the equation ?

Glad someone else appreciated it as much as I did  .. :)

Astro anytime you want an image you see in a video -

- pause the video at that point

- press the -print screen- button on your keyboard

- open a paint or image program and choose -edit paste-

you will now have the onscreen ready to be saved to your hard drive

I do often do as you describe for images that I want to save..

Unfortunately If I do that , I am unable to upload it to PRC Forum.

So the only other way to post one in this thread would be if I found one say in googles images with a URL..

I was looking for one..

and at the time could not find one..

but as you reminded me I just looked again..

with any luck this is the one and will show on this post.. :)

unfortunately it does not show much detail..

This one shows a similar sample in more closer up detail.

Heres one like the video image you can see that you posted..

Another similar way to get and post pics:

*Take a screenshot of what you want, which becomes a photo
*After I take the screenshot, I go to my desktop photo service - I use Postimage
*Using Postimage (or whatever service) "browse" for the photo to upload - for me, my screenshots always go to my "desktop file", so that makes them easy to find.
*Choose the image with Postimage (or your photo service) and upload
*With Postimage, after upload the image is given a url address
*Copy and paste this url to the "insert image" option in the post you are making here.
*POSTED AND DONE!!!!!!! :)

Radio signal sent from Earth
A Message From Earth (AMFE) is a high-powered digital radio signal that was sent on 9 October 2008 toward Gliese 581 c. The signal is a digital time capsule containing 501 messages that were selected through a competition on the social networking site Bebo. The message was sent using the RT-70 radar telescope of Ukraine's National Space Agency. The signal will reach Gliese 581 in early 2029.

ah so many planets..how wonderous to be so certain of such knowledge with absolutely no real proof
system this and  Galaxy   that and how do they know black holes only have a top and bottom ..maybe they are more like sieves

astronomers have always made me laugh with their belief that they knew something and were sharing with us lesser folk

they haven't even identified the other planets in our system

and then  saying that astrologers were the ones making stuff up...

bwhahahahahahahahahah

pot and kettle, if you ask me

Here is a better one

You know all those beautiful pictures from HUBBLE?

They are all FAKE :P

Well sort of.  It appears HUBBLE only takes images in BLACK AND WHITE  The colors are all added by computer

This is from the mouth of the horse

Your suggestions Sky Space Otter may bring some of the initial wonders of the Universe (or Solar System )beliefs towards this Horizon TV Program back down to Earth !

As much as Maybe some of us may have believed what the Program was describing...eg with relation to all those Solar Systems being how they describe..

Maybe you make a good point ...

Is it another of Sciences / Astronomers misleading the viewers or is what they describe truth...

Are those Solar systems like they suggest or made up...

Are we learning more about the far away solar systems more than our own ? or it may appear that way.

Leads back to the same Conspiracist  views of what do we believe in Life when overwhelmed with so much information and so many media produced programs of what seems about things that may stimulate our minds...

May make one not knowing what to believe in Life as being fact or fiction !

On another thought, How many Astronomers / Scientists are bringing us true facts  or ones that are misleading to us.. or is it just certain ones that  are on TV !

Thanks for the info RDunk..

I think I considered using a similar options once before, but decided against it at the time for some reason..but at the moment I cant recall why..

But I may consider trying using it if I cannot find a reason as to why not... ???   This may be a better service...that I would not have any concerns about.

Its hard after some years of being brought up in the modern world not to believe what we are shown on TV and in the media..

and somethings you would not think could be fakes..But who really knows for sure what they show us in images, if they are what they say or if they real or not as claimed to be ..

How much maybe just be an illusion  ???
