In da flesh.  ;D

well hey there!  i'm from michigan, too.  :)
that's beautiful country up there where you're from. too cold for me but wonderful to visit in the summer.  i have fond memories of the beautiful birch trees and evergreens.  of frankenmuth and yummy thanksgiving dinners and german fudge made right in the shop, of mackinaw island grand hotel, of the shores of lake superior.  pretty places. always neat little trails and paths that suddenly open up to unexpected water falls lined with evergreen stands.  gorgeous state. hope they don't ruin it.

Well, Bob, I have to ask...why am I picturing a couple of hijacked planes from Qatar filled with dirty bombs, and shot down over Lake huron? ??? ??? ??? ???

Is it just a paranoid moment for me, or does it sound viable?

Planes fly in low, get shot down, one explodes with a boom, then releases it's dirty bomb contents into the air, where they drift south into N Indiana.

Frightnening prospect, and if so, would the gubmint tell anyone?

this list    Tracking Websites

These need very little introduction other than a link and a visit.

Most display flights in realtime. A few are delayed for "security" reasons.

Check them out and explore what's available.  Some have chat rooms and forums where you'll find radarspotters, both newbies and the more experienced.

Aircraft Tracking sites usually display all aircraft.  Flight Tracking typically allow a search for a specific flight.

Michigan National Guard airmen deploying to Estonia

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — About 150 Michigan Air National Guard personnel are deploying to Estonia for a training exercise.

It was announced Wednesday the airmen will be overseas for two weeks in support of Saber Strike 2012.

The deployment will include A-10 Thunderbolt II and KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft from Selfridge Air National Guard Base and personnel from the 127th Wing at Selfridge, the 110th Airlift Wing in Battle Creek, the Combat Readiness Training Center in Alpena and Michigan Joint Forces Headquarters in Lansing.

The Michigan Air National Guard says in a statement it will provide close-air-support via the A-10 and aerial refueling capabilities via the KC-135.

Saber Strike 2012 involves 2,000 personnel from eight countries. It's to take place in mid-June.

I don't think so. The radiation from a dirty bomb would linger a lot longer than the spikes lasted. With absolutely nothing scientific to base this guess on, could it have been radiation released by a Neutron bomb? Or perhaps just a conventional nuke? An air burst would have been seen as well as felt, not to mention the EMP that goes along with it; but an underground explosion might explain the brief spike with no lingering effects as there would be no radioactive fallout.  I suck at physics, but I'm pretty sure that when a nuke explodes it emits a brief blast of (Gamma?) radiation.

I dunno...  That deployment sure looks fishy.  Spidy sense hears someOne saying, "Quick!  Come up with a deployment order We can use to "explain" all that military stuff going on!"

Oh, but I'm sure THAT would never happen.

That surely is a plausible story. Now if I could only trust the government to tell the truth we'd be good.  8)

Nope, and nope. I talked to Lafarge quarry manager and he said they were not doing any blasting. No fertilizer plants of which I'm aware, just lots of sand and limestone.

I still doubledog dare you to present your question to the forum of Pike and his group and see what happens. If they simply say " We don't know what you are talking about" Then you have the biggest story of the century.....and if they hand it off like that it MIGHT be all yours.

I'd say.... grab it and run.

That makes sense to me, Bob, as an airburst would be quite obvious, but if it were already in the lake....Hmmm. Lower rad levels, and less gamma output...maybe?

A neutron bomb? maybe a pineapple bomb would be a goos guess!

This story isnt going away, so we shall learn more at every turn, especially if the Bobmeister keeps on the hunt..youre a hunter, Bob, I can tell by your determined personality!

Have a great show tonight, and Ill try to drop in if I can pull away from the bench for a bit!
Cheers!

well i kept looking and it seems the natural news did a long story on it

http://www.naturalnews.com/036158_nuclear_explosion_Indiana_radiation.html

with links for several other info points..listing a few below

RadNet's data has also since been pulled, which is highly suspicious. But if you visit the RadNet Query page (https://cdxnode64.epa.gov/radnet-public/query.do), you can pull up the data yourself from the archive. with more instructions

According to a Reddit reader whose eyewitness account was confirmed by various other readers, a large fleet of DHS emergency response trucks disappeared on June 6 from a parking lot where they had remained unmoved for years. The missing trucks were allegedly emblazoned with a U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) National Incident Management System (NIMS) logo, which suggests that a major emergency had occurred that required immediate attention (http://www.infowars.com).

A series of loud explosions that began more than a week prior to the high radiation readings were also reported throughout the region, which adds another element of mystery to this whole situation. WWMT Newschannel 3 ran a report in late May about the occurrence of a "loud explosion like thunder" that resulted in intense shaking felt throughout several Michigan counties. The rumbling was so loud and intense that one local man thought something had exploded inside his house (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oKj_ptBOUE).

In the days that followed, other area residents also reported hearing strange "boom" sounds, and some even reported seeing unmarked helicopters, A-10 Thunderbolts, which are sometimes referred to as the "world's deadliest aircraft," and various other military aircraft and personnel moving in and out of the area (http://naturalsociety.com).

One man who tried to investigate the source of another unidentified explosion further north in Michigan was actually arrested after trying to question the Executive Secretary at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, a year-round National Guard training and exercise facility (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAphZIusdTo).
