Buffett has always been a favorite of mine... mainly because I know that at one time he didn't have a roof over his head either.... drove a 100.00 pick up... but the Cosmic hand has touched him... and he is active in environmental work.... besides bringing alot of joy through his music.

Dean Franklin taught him how to fly seaplanes....

And I feel a certain kinship to him because Dean was the man who used to fly my Dad to the Bahamas all of the time....and his grand daughter is a close friend.

Its a very small world.

Buffet sang about a woman he named " Desdemona".... she reminds me a little bit of you Amy... she would slap the water to call the entities from other dimensions to her.... and I feel that you have that potential.

Bananna Winds is one of his better albums.

and one of his songs ( Last Mango In Paris) there is a line..... Oh Jimmy..... there is so much to do......

After looking over the Thrive site, I must say that 99.9% of the comments are kudos for the film and it's makers.  So no big surprise why your comments aren't there.

I saw 1 poster (lizju1) who most difinitely didn't agree with Thrive.  She posted:   and
So it may very well be the purpose of that site is self-promotion and nothing of any more substance than that.

J

Thanks for the vid...  As for "self promotion," Foster is child of Gamble of Proctor & fame - and He released THRIVE for free recently.  So I don't know what's up with that.  But I think Liz has a clue.

And thank You for the lyrics!  Yeah, He knows a bit more than He openly admits.  I don't know that I call any entities, though...  It's just Me and My spidy sense.  [grin]

Understand now, that I was speaking to the purpose of the site.  I haven't watched the movie...yet  :)

You're either part of the solution or part of the problem. There is no middle ground.

What if the hokey pokey is really what its all about.

Much going on here than we can see from this surface.

Pay close attention.  I did a review of it.  It's here somewhere.  You can see if You agree.  Take note of the one eye in the image used as the logo...

I found the review and will watch the movie.  However, I must finish your most execellent article first.  My mind isn't as sharp as it once was; mental multitasking is no longer my talent...lol

I haven't seen Thrive although it's been recommended to me by several people.  It seems to be a re-make of the Zeitgeist ideas, but was released FOR PROFIT (which tells me a LOT) at first.  It was months before he made it available for free.   Zeitgeist, OTOH, was released from the git-go for free and all the material is available for free, with translations into 30 different languages all done by volunteers...

How does Thrive differ from the Zeitgeist idea of a resource based economy, and does he advocate getting rid of money and making sure everyone on the planet has the necessities of life before certain people have lives filled with luxuries?   Because we're really not able to call ourselves a 'civilization' until everyone is fed, clothed, housed, educated and given medical care...

Amaterasu

He's advocating non-central banks.  No, NOT money-free.  In fact, I think They don't want People to know that free energy spells the end of the need for money.

They are putting Their own little system into place - OR - just diverting energy from real solutions with hope and dreams They will never allow to actually happen.

I strongly suspect the latter.

Hey, Amy, your AP post is still there as of now, and its right in the thick of the first page still.

There are several likes and a few nice comments too.

I have tried to go on their website a few times, and see which Thrive groups are here in town, signed up and received absolutely no response whatsoever.

I dont know why they built this huge site with all the trimmings, and make it seem like their are groups all over the place, when none will respond to a member who is clearly suited for the job, or duty.

If I had to guess at whats going on with thrive, it would be that these guys are aiming for the big fish, with the big bucks, and even though they are mega loaded, money begets money, and their doctrine in the movie presents a world of peace and sharing, so why dont they accept non monetary help?

Im going to PM Foster on his fb page, and ask him a few pointed questions, as he friended me, not him, and I wonder his agenda for doing so, after seeing some of the crap people are posting on his fb page. Whew!, some of those people are schizo and maniacal! Im wondering if he even checks it anymore, and his assistant does it for him.

Keep thinking of those trees, hills, and lakes, Amy, where your worries will be floated away on the breeze, and the writer in you can flourish, and maybe soon he will have to take notice, when your works grow and become a bigger part of the literary arena!
Hugs!
Dave

So...  Was wondering what became of Your efforts, Dave.  They still have never contacted Me in any way.

I really enjoyed Thrive...right up to the point where Foster started promoting Ludwig von Mises.  I can remember sighing, shaking my head sadly, and thinking, "Oh, Foster.  You were doing so well."

To be totally fair to him, von Mises isn't the sort of smirking, largely mean-spirited psychopath that Milton Friedman was; Mises' main problem was that he simply thought almost exclusively in theory and hypotheticals, without discussing how said theory actually applies in the real world.  Ayn Rand remains the only one of the Capitalist philosophers who I have any respect at all for; and even there, I'm more than willing to admit that Objectivism is far from perfect.

The other major problem with Thrive was the fact that after the film was released, John Robbins essentially had an emotional tantrum, and encouraged virtually everyone else involved to denounce the film, purely because of the mere presence of David Icke in it.  Not because of anything specific that Icke said, but purely because he was there.

Icke doesn't deserve that.  Does he at times talk about subjects at times which are extremely dark, and cause him to appear insane to a mainstream audience?  Absolutely.  Did he do that during Thrive, however?  No.  He gave an eloquent, accurate, and useful description of what is genuinely going on, as far as the banking industry are concerned.

I think You've got it.  Anynonmouses says that, finding out about My experience with THRIVE, He is removing HIS support of THRIVE.  He had a link on His twitter profile and will be changing it.

So...  I do think THRIVE is just more "elite" fancy footwork to divide & conquer, mixing truth with lies.

From what Ive gathered, Gamble is on a self importance kick, and travels to all these places to receive his pats on the back from a bunch of fruitloops who have a selection of twisted agendas....

The Movie was OK for a newbies intro to all things worldly, but nothing more..and Icke is OK when he has had his meds...otherwise, look out you might get the bizarre Icke, instead of the concise, clear Icke.

And yes the movie went south around the 2/3 rds point for me...kinda creepy almost as if it were some sort of psy-op.
