I hope this is the right place to post this. I think it goes to conspiracy section just because of the false impression they want to give us of moon being black/white.

I know nothing of the maker of this document, but I think what he shows us is beautiful. Cant wait for seeing it with my own eyes soon  ;)

Enjoy! Here is the film "Celestial" .
Hope it has not been posted before.

Its been posted somewhere a while back, but its a cool movie nonetheless!

Some think Escamillo is reaching when he shows these anomalous shapes and things on the moon, but its a pretty good primer for people who have always wondered if we have been told everything by NASA.

I find some of his shots to be quite believable, and others just a bit farfetched, but if even one is right, we know what that means, eh?

I think ArMaP has a great handle on breaking down some of the things in the film.... http://www.thelivingmoon.com/forum/index.php?topic=2107.msg29357#msg29357

Most of the photos on that video are false colour photos from Clementine, that's why they are so different from what we can see from photos, even when the colours are exaggerated.

Ummm...

at 4:10 the green in the lower left creeps upward across the surface at the same rate as the pan upward.

It looks like chromatic aberration.

Did Clementine take false colour photos? I knew many of photos in this document were from Clementine mission, but never thought they were false.. And I also knew the colours were little exaggerated in the amateur shots, but I guess I have to see for myself how it looks. Although, I have a quite little telescope and Im not sure of what its capable of..
Hmm..

Greetings;

Bravo, our (25-years) friend Jose, for another cinema photography great!    8)

Now, get your butt over here and let us engage in enthusiastic discourse... ;)

Besides that, ArMaP probably has a few questions... :o

(Leaves room and emails Jose re: butt-here-inski)

Did Clementine take false colour photos?
Clementine could not take real colour photos, as the filters were for 415 nm (violet), 750 nm (red/infrared), 900 nm, 950 nm and 1000 nm (the last three are infrared). It also had a 400–950 filter (from ultraviolet to infrared, including all the visible spectrum), but as that was only one filter and it was a monochromatic camera, the photos were also monochromatic.

The High Resolution Camera had 415 nm (violet), 560 nm (green/yellow), 650 nm (red), and 750 nm (infrared) filters, so, once more, only false colour images were possible.

Excellent breakdown, ArMaP!
It appears to be an anomaly which could be seen as a statue of the observer was at just the right time and location, but clearly the photos you have show it being a statue shaped surface feature.

Whats up with Jose? Is he trolling for donations, or what?

We all know there are better finds right here on TLM, so Mr Jose can have his video, and label this one as another money grab for a filmmaker who needs to pay the investors off!

Thanks, ArMaP!

Greetings:

We thinks you just might be selling our friend Jose a bit short.

While ArMaP certainly presents a convincing story, we have known Jose previously to his adventures in film-making, and have found him to be an honest, ethical individual with a burning desire to understand certain 'unknowns,'

IMHO, the jury is still out on this one.    ;)

Yes, the Moon has several colours, but not those seen on the colour Clementine photos, that's why they look different from all other photos taken in colour or greyscale but only in the visible spectrum, as adding ultraviolet changes completely the way things look.

That's why they use ultraviolet, as it shows some minerals in a different way and makes it easier to see what areas have what minerals.
Yes, I saw some of those, and the ones I saw (I saw a little more of the video) are a result of three things:
1- apparently, he doesn't understand perspective.
2- wishful thinking
3- he already has his mind made up

I will post some more about those "anomalies", as I already participated in a discussion in another forum of at least one of those. :)

So, Clementine photos has been told to be the only colour photos of moon, but it seems they still havent released any colour photos.
Anyway, to look at those black and white photos just makes me think of BS, the more I look at them. Like a small scale model photographed from a distance. Now I really think there is no way of trusting anything NASA or the Air force is telling us. Not that I had much trust anyway  :)
I think the moon pics you guys are looking for anomalies, are BS too..not real moon pics. Thats why I gave up on finding anomalies.

The Chinese were supposed to have colour pics of moon.. maybe there is hope there!
Cheers!

P.s Fortunately there are other ways to view the moon in true colour ;)

Clementine could not take real colour photos,

QuoteAltogether, Clementine's sensor package imaged the Moon in 14
selectable, narrow-wavelength bands ranging from 0.415 µm to 9.5 µm.

QuoteUltraviolet/Visible Camera  To provide reliable, solid-state, cost-effective imaging in the nearultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared regions of the spectrum (from 0.3 to 1.0 µm), LLNL designed and built a medium-resolution, 0.426-kg camera that uses silicon charge-coupled device
(CCD) technology. For Clementine, this camera was combined with a six position spectral filter wheel for remote sensing applications and, specifically, for mineral typing studies of the Moon
.

Jose made a HUGE mistake with that Giant humanoid in that movie... Many told him to leave that out as it was a paredolia issue. hat lost him a ton of credibility on what would have been a great film. Now what most remember is that Giant humanoid
