is that how it would look?I am no expert in imaging analysis so i dont know.
i suppose the sky would not be pink as it looks.

I'm no expert either but...

Infra red video images are false colour.  The brightness of what is probably a missile plume and the  exploding parts are what you would expect under infra red.  That is why it looks "white hot" as infra red is effectively heat.
