Fred Chaos, my old P.C. is alive again 8)

Fred has 3 internal hard drives packed with files that i could not reach for nearly 2 years, so now i have about 100 Gb of info to sort...Aaargh!

Fred is also very quick, he's running NT & has 2 fast dvd burners & a few extra's, like a tuner card, ethernet, modem etc
I'm so happy :D

Beautiful, He he....I whish my batcave looked like that 8)

BTW I'm preparing several threads like 'electronics for dummies' and 'let's talk Inverters' and many more to do with 'historic' inventors & modern interpretations of their work.
Later!

P.S. How did you know Fred was a black tower? LOL

Oh c'mon...who the hell makes beige towers anymore?  :P

Fred was built in '95 to my specs, then we sprayed him black with some car paint ;)

Now i have a new problem; The back-up Administrator (Wilma) is asking me for a password... :o
Can't remember giving Wilma a password, now that sucks  ::)

Luckily i managed to siphon off a few hundred megs before Wilma stuck her nose in. I think i created her in a moment of 'the MIB's are after me' :o 8)

Now i may have to find which drive she's on (fred can boot from all 3) and disable it.
Either that or try to remember a password i taught myself to forget :o

The good news is, i can acess everything, AND i got through the password on my touchscreen panel PC. Now to install Media Player via serial net & i've got a decent jukebox for the batcave :)

Piccies tomorrow ;)

Could be, LOL..Tried most of em, even Bedrock.
Never mind, i can still access all the files it seems ::)

There are 5 computers on this bench, from right to left, iMac,Fred(AsusAthlon overclocked), The touch screen (Windoze NT), the Amiga 1200(metal case) and out of frame, my museum piece 386 PC, which is my double redundant backup.

And here is Fred;

When you boot the PC keep hitting F8 to get into safe mode...then go in and try and log in as administrator hit enter instead of entering a password if you never assigned one for admin rights. Then you can go into control panel and either delete the old account and set up a new one.

Man I am so jelous :)

Fred looks kick ass to what I have. My main machine is an Emachine T6212. I have been able to get it to run windows 7 but I think I would rather have XP. I am more familiar with it.

My second machine is down due to hard drive failure. It had the hook up for the new fancy serial hard drives so I installed one. I can get it to work with Lenex but due to driver problems I cant get it to load windows >:( It is a old Dell made in 03. Any help withe driver issue?

And last but not least is my old Compact 5000. It still works.

I can hear my fan starting to go on my Emachine >:(

All were given to me in a no working condition so I cant complain. I guess I am going to have to look around for some "new" junk ;)

Bless
