Pope accused of crimes against humanity

The Pope and top Vatican cardinals have been accused of possible crimes against humanity for sheltering guilty Catholic priests, in formal complaints to the International Criminal Court.

The Centre for Constitutional Rights, a New York-based non-profit legal group, requested an ICC inquiry on behalf of the Survivors Network, arguing that the global church has maintained a "long-standing and pervasive system of sexual violence" despite promises to swiftly oust predators.

The Vatican said it had no immediate comment on the complaint.

The complaint names Pope Benedict XVI, partly in his former role as leader of the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which in 2001 explicitly gained responsibility for overseeing abuse cases; Cardinal William Levada, who now leads that office; Cardinal Angelo Sodano, the Vatican secretary of state under Pope John Paul II; and Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, who now holds that post.

Lawyers for the victims say rape, sexual violence and torture are considered a crime against humanity as described in the international treaty that spells out the court's mandate. The complaint also accuses Vatican officials of creating policies that perpetuated the damage, constituting an attack against a civilian population.

Barbara Blaine, president of the US-based Survivors Network of those Abused by priests, said going to the court was a last resort.

First he was fired for allegedly groping young girls, then hired to frisk them at an airport.

A disgraced former priest, defrocked from his New Jersey diocese over allegations of molestation in 2002, was three months later given a job as a TSA officer, it has been revealed.

Thomas Harkins was employed in a role where his duties would include doing pat downs on children, according to local news, after the agency failed to do a thorough background check and offered him a position at Philadelphia International Airport.

I noticed something with the left eye  at 1:23, there is a glint or flash in the eye and then the eye changes for a second , gets big and distorted , then snaps back to normal. my timing might be slightly off , my computer is to slow to stop right on the effect but please check it out and see if you see it .

No....I did not notice the time mark suggestion of 4: 58 until after I watched the whole video. So when I saw the thing at 1:24,I thought that what I was supposed to notice . Did you notice the subtle flash of the  left eye before the eye changed at 1:24?

Hmm, i would like to see closeups of both frames. It looks photoshopped to me, and it would be easy to alter just one frame. If you blink, it would normally take up about 3 frames. Does he blink at all in this film?

Pope Rat-Zinger our fine Hitler Youth representative has been kicked to the curb..no Pope would resign for any reason aside from death, without raising huge suspicions..they would rather die in office, and become a martyr in the process.

Personally, I am delighted that so much attention is being brought to the vile organization of the RCC, and am reveling in the discomfort all of those associated with it are feeling right now, from the Pope down to the newest member, wherever they may be!

Those who follow the RCC and its evil doctrine deserve to suffer, they are blind and have absolutely zero ability to descern between good and evil.

No sympathy here..ever.

I think Metallica said it best when it comes to everyone who runs that evil machine in the Vatican...

consider while watching this video, that pretty much everything of european culture will be gone, even the heart warming stuff.  stonehenge (they'll blow that up in a heartbeat) gone.  druids all over europe will be killed, as will pagans of other varieties.  there will be no wicca, no rosicrucians, no masons (other than perhaps shriners and even that is questionable, and for sure won't be available to white europeans).  all our ancient history will be destroyed.  viking history, gone.  wiped from existence like some pharaoh scratching out the name of his predecessor
