well if one day you find yourself giving you advice,
and the local parameters don't account for the event,
there's a good chance time travel is also ongoing. 
and in that event, all bets are off, cause it won't just be
contingent on who has the most money and power, but
on who has the most ingenuity and, as z put it, leaning
to the good side, not the bad.  since we are all sovereign
beings, this means anyone who tries to force you to believe
anything or do anything that you don't have reason to
believe, is probably leaning to the bad.  and apparently,
the universe, ultimately, doesn't grok that.  hehe
