Now for some free schooling  ;)

When asked about Aristarchus Crater, the first word that should come out of your mouth is: Cherenkov Radiation.

Cherenkov Radiation requires a water environment... as in your second photograph.

I am more inclined to believe that it is PLASMA DISCHARGE we are seeing, like this HARRP facility in India when powered up...

It also explains why sometimes we see it and other times we don't... because we only see it when its on :D

We know from Earth observation from as far back as 1556 that Aristarchus comes on and off and changes intensity... perhaps a portal opening and closing :D

yes advance notice would have been nice... :D  This past week I have been off focus due to extreme flareup of pain so can't sleep or concentrate...

Also I have it on good authority that Zorgon doesn't do live intervews :P

I will have to catch that podcast and have a listen :D

Interesting point! But there is abundant water in the atmosphere so some (If not most) of the glow of Atmospheric Plasmas would come from Cherenkov Radiation. In the vacuum of space (a misnomer really: there is no 'vacuum' in space) the glow would come from free Hydrogen/Oxygen (depending on what colour the glow is) particles.

A high probabilty!  8)

Well, The interview was happening, and not knowing every Question that was going to be asked.
Sorry too hear you are going through great pain's, I am vary familiar with this myself as of right now and do not wish it on anyone.

Hopefully you can get some good rest and the pain will subside. :)

Well, I did PM you about this, was as much warning as Sgt. and I had gotten, so wasn't like "We didn't let you know." :P

And if you didn't do interviews anyway, whats the point? ::)

As far as the interview, went very good, had a lot of fun doing it and am a big Fan and long time listener too IRN Shows, best on the Net, IMHO. 8)

Mj, Jamie & Bob are some really nice folks, they had Bob Tarmac as a host for our show, which he rarely makes an appearance as, so really meant something too me as far as importance of show goes.

We were reached in 110 Countries, had over 30+ people in chat area for the IRN network and PANG radio, we got heard, had a skeptical call in and had good conversation even after the show.

Bob Taramac had actually told me he was very excited and had gotten much more information discussing the Lunar surface with Sgt. and I opposed too what he had be let too know thus far, ever since he was a child, so, all in all, huge success as far as Bob and their crew was concerned.

They also would like to have us on at another time, discussing Peggy and her many color's here. :)

Still wish Z could've made it, or John, Thor was there but couldn't get back too me in time, Thor could have called in using toll free line, but, couldn't discuss this due to time issues. :'(

Maybe will get more leigh way for next show, I know this will not be long before we go back on IRN,  PANG Radio, it is an open lines show, but we rocked the house that night, Sgt. was Superb with his candor and explanations, he has some fans now in very big places as far as Radio talk show world.

Here is a picture of Aristarchus Crater:

If I'm not mistaken, that photo was not a visible light photo, I think it includes several bands on the ultraviolet side of the spectrum.

PS: yes, I know, the old "true colour" discussion. :D

True, Armap!
But some of the light would be down-converted to visible light (After collisional loss of energy) and this is the light that has been seen in that area with the 'naked' eye (Through Telescopes etc.).
But you are correct, that photo is in the ultraviolet spectrum.
