whilst I like to see advancement in engineering I still prefer the days of Randy mamola the wheely king bendin them 2 stroke pipes on the V4 absolute maniac machines and kev swantz! them were the days where the gyroscopic force coursed by the V4 setup made the bikes an absolute handful to ride,
ducati led the way for the 4 stroke revolution.

I  had an RD 350 ypvs yam and I had a squirt on the RD 500 and there crazy.power band tastic.
SOMA I could talk bike all day and it look's like we have a great rookie in 'ol Elvis ;)

Got a 600 yam fazer at the moment but I have chance of a Honda CBR600 all tricked out and geared for the track, really cheap 2000 plate £1000 and it's a freaking rocket! but alas I don't have the cash things have been real tuff of late I need some luck.

The price of racing a factory is what holds the young lads back. so much money.

This is dick on his Vincent 1000 he holds loads of drag records. supplies all the bikes for shows like heartbeat and the royal and if any TV productions need out he has it 300+ MINT bikes in the collection.

Ah ha, Stealthy old chap,
you would be waay off with that assumption.
Ive had motorcycles since i was 10 years old in all shapes and sizes.
I had an RD 250 (aircooled), Then a 350LC (pre YPVS)

So your talking to an old hand here  ;)

In fact my best mate used to stay at barry sheens house in australia when ever he visited.
Barry had an RG in his living room.

Bikes are in my blood as they are in yours. :)

Did not mean it sound like that. more like PEGASUS's latest great addition
ahh the RD range castrol R, 2 stroke wheelie popping madness.

Most crazy bike i owned was a 1989 Honda CR 500 super moto
That was the most scary yet thrilling machine I ever rode.
I would shake so bad from the adrenaline from holding on. jesus it was insane.
Not very practical you may as well of poured fuel on the floor it used it up so quick.

I also have a cousin who had center spread in one of the major bike mags
with his Kawazki KX 500 super moto show stopper of a bike geared to do 140mph ;)
I will see if i can hunt down a pic.

our official bike thread lads :)

Ha Ha excellent mate.
The big CR was a monster no doubt.
The best i can do on crossers was a KTM 250, I  loved that bike...

My last one was a 1200 bandit with a full yosh system, ducati monster bars and rear sets. I could keep that bugger up till about 120, the front made a really satisfying screech when it hit the ground....

God youve just reimded me of castrol r.

great stuff mate. :)

ACE stuff mate.
That sounds like a wicked looking machine Elvis the tricked out bandit, is that one of the most
bullet proof engines ever built or what. as for the KTM 250 not really much in it for shear power
crosser's are just crazy so 250=500 both very quick.

Speaking of KTM I was chatting to a guy the other day who was sat on a KTM 1000
He'd had her on the dyno (another pal of mine) and they managed to squeeze another 10BHP
out of her with a little re mapping he said it was much smoother it was awesome i was jealous.

You know what, the very same happened to a friend of mine, when we went to pick up his new bike.
It was a brand new CBR400 RR and it was really smart.
He did the paperwork and they rolled it out. He was in new leathers and lid, the lot. I was with him on my ZZR 600.
So we fire them up and some lasses walk by. So tony being tony decided he was Mick Dohan, and was gonna remove some knickers with his raw talent.
He red lines it and trys to blast off into the sunset, but his cold new michelin was having none of it. Tony was highsided and the bike tumbled arse over tit for about 100 yards.
smashing its  shiny new bodywork into stardust.
I nearly filled my pants laughing.
what a tit. :)

Hey Stealthy,
As an engineer you might be interested.

Have you come across Fords new one litre eco-boost engine?

Its pretty mind blowing in how it behaves.
Its quite the mechanical marvel.
Mucho impressive.
