US Government may be going on strike !

Just watched and caught the back end of the News that was talking about various  services within the US going on strike and services shutting down completely...in which it suggested as if Chaos could occur..

seemed hard to believe... :o

Not sure if its to do with the US not wanting to go along with Obama care..

For a decade, Washington has been the town that the recession forgot, a bastion of economic confidence, low unemployment, growing wealth and healthy property values. But as the rest of the country has started to recover, Washington and its close-by suburbs in Maryland and Virginia have stalled, hit hard by the $1 trillion in budget cuts known as sequestration, as well as by hundreds of billions of dollars in additional cuts to the military.

If the government has a lapse in spending, or if Congress cannot approve an increase in the government's borrowing limit in mid-October, the pain would only get worse, economists said.

"There's been a dramatic slowdown in growth" in recent years, said Stephen Fuller, the director of the Center for Regional Analysis at George Mason University. "A potential shutdown, the debt ceiling — those headwinds would come in combination with sequestration, furloughs, job reductions and contract cutbacks."

Yep, there goes hubby's paycheck again.  They are shutting down the department of defense, because the democrats and repubs are at logger heads about the new budget for this fiscal year.  the repubs are refusing to sign it until obamacare is removed from it.  the democrats are refusing to remove obamacare so now, millions of department of defense employees will go without pay starting tomorrow.

the problem is, you have to have a stellar credit rating to keep your job in dod.  how do you do that without a paycheck?

That must have been part of what I saw on the evening news earlier...
( I missed the beginning )

It did seem to suggest it could become a long term thing, bringing chaos with various Gov departments being shut down for sometime, for various everyday essential services....

If so..

Is this part of the Gov plan to distract us from something else or to create riots on the streets along the lines of some of the things Alex Jones talks about.

Time to buy the US! Discount rates? I will ask the leaders here if they want to blow a few extra trillion of our money, we gave them. This is what happens when the states got greedy and bought all of it goods from outside. No money left to play with. No jobs, people losing homes, manufacturing is a lost art. Made in the USA means me and you and no products. I bet that durring all of this there is still millions or billions going out as aid to places that are better off than the states. They can print money very fast. Too bad it makes the old money worthless.

Seems the gobermant is now seeing what we all are going through. Let them shut down, they need a re-boot. Only sorry for the vets and people who really need assistance. Most of the people in congress don't need the money anyways. They have lots of pork to chew on.

This gets me sick to know that what was once the number one country in the world has to borrow money just to bomb other countries while its own people are stuck in the mddle with no money. Everytime they borrow money the problem gets worse and only pushed ahead to the future. It should be against the law for the states to borrow money. What are they doing in DC? They spend money faster than a drunken sailor at port.

I can get a good job teaching US people how to speak Chinese. When I was young, China was never talked about. Now they are on the doorstep buying us. Humm! The game is afoot. Risk Anyone?
