Drivers in North Fort Worth, Texas, are being pulled over at a police roadblock and asked for saliva, blood and breath samples. They are offered $10 for a cheek-swab DNA sample, $50 for a blood sample, and nothing for a breath sample — since passive alcohol sensors gather that information the moment the driver is pulled over.

NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth found that contractors for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are stopping people as part of a $7.9 million voluntary survey on drunken or impaired drivers that is taking place over three years in 30 cities.

Really, three years and 7.9 million dollars? NHTSA
coming to a town near you.

"It just doesn't seem right that you can be forced off the road
when you're not doing anything wrong," Kim Cope told NBC.
She was stopped during her lunch break.

"I gestured to the guy in front that I just wanted to go straight,
but he wouldn't let me and forced me into a parking spot," said Ms. Cope,  http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/nov/19/americans-pulled-over-asked-for-dna-and-blood-samp/

And, at lunch time no less to be forced into a detention
parking lot, to be subjected to an invasive questioning?

Who has time or would want to get into a DNA collection
or blood collection during lunch?

She didn't know how not to give consent:

"Am I being detained?  Under what law?  Am I free to go?"  Answer nothing and keep asking those questions.

Very good advice Amy, indeed.

She said she consented to a breath test thinking that was a
way to exit, obvious she was afraid, and had been forced
into a detention parking lot. That is the part that concerns
me, there is a great potential for things to go wrong here,
even when someone is versed and prepared as you are.

In this case, it seems forwarned is better prepared,
hence why I am posting.

Agreed, BTS.

And I thought I would provide the remedy.  [smile]

Thank you Amy.

I recall that this was also reported back in June,
but rumors swirled, and then it was said they
were not collecting DNA.

Now, they admit they are. Just goes to show me (yes me ) how sometimes
rumors are not all off base.

You know this is the stuff that really boils my piss.
Normal folk going about their day to day being intimidated by these jackboot motherfukers.
Yea she was frightened, I would have been frightened.
It's getting worse.

The only thing I don't like about that vid I provided is that it presumes We are in a statutory capacity.  Personally, I prefer common law.

I have posted a few places the Dean Clifford vids - BEST few hours of vid watching I have ever spent! - but also point out that We do not have to act in a statutory capacity if We don't want to.  I am the head of state of My Individual republic of Me.  (Watch Clifford to grasp that if You don't already.)

Here I'll offer driving without a license (apologies for Infowars):

They are probly trying to create a statutory limit for thc.by giving these folks cash and immunity for samples.they see pot being legal in the future and losing revenue from simple pot possesion laws.so they will step it up a notch and bust people for too much thc while driving.like the sniffer deal in colorado.its all about creating new sin taxes.

I thinks its time for a new constitution.
One of the problems we have in texas is no petition setup for state laws.only state reps and senators can pass laws and of course that means corporations own this state.thats what im trying to get changed but it has to be put on the ballot and the citizens in each county vote on it then the pressure from that is suppose to make the politicians pass it or lose their jobs next election.then we can get down to changing big gov.

A new Constitution is not the answer.  You can write a Constitution which says whatever you like.  The problem is that the police and politicians know that they don't need to care.  Psychopaths do not care about the rule of law, and we need to stop pretending that they do.  That is not going to help us.

What really needs to happen, is for the public to stop giving the cops a free pass.  People continually make excuses for the police, because they've been brainwashed to believe that it is a characteristic of political moderation to do so, or to rationalise bad police behaviour.

This is also a big part of the reason why people being brainwashed to revere the military, and view Veterans' Day etc as a big deal, is such a problem as well.  It's all about entraining the public to view themselves as powerless, and to get them used to the idea of having an armed overclass in the population, who they are supposedly inherently inferior to.

Another side of the problem is cowardice and apathy.  Cops can bash someone to death in public in America, and get away with it; and the reason why is because a hundred people will walk past and tell themselves that it isn't their problem, and that they will only put themselves in the firing line if they get involved.

We need to see the first time, publically, when someone gets bashed by one or more cops in a public place, and 30-50 people gather, and swarm said cops.  That then needs to keep happening, until the police get the message.

I agree gold for you.
I know sueing dosnt seem to help plus in most places the prosecutor cherry picks the jury volunteers that show up.ive been called like five times and never picked because they know what i think.but i did in one jury trial.i legally lost but the jury fine was twenty five dollars and that included court cost.so financially they lost.i eat that sheet up.i thought the judges head would explode.the prosecutor hung his head down and was shaking back and forth.bt that was back in the good ol days when i could afford to take risk.
