The Right MastCam.

I noticed now that the link I posted for the LBL file was wrong, it should be this one.

Wow a lot of data to take some photos. I was suprised on how quick the shutter speed was. I will need some time with this one to see exactly which values I can use. But it does have the focus points and thats good, So at least there is a fixed range with a center point. A lot of math ahead on this one. Thanks for the homework, it is what i asked for...

I will try to make up a CAD master that I can slide any of the right mast photos into and get values from the focus points to try and determine the size of things in the photo.

Seems to me to be a waste of time fooling with the photos ArMaP posted. With a quick scan, I see nothing here that does not look like a rock!

Hi rdunk, I 'm not really sure if you are just pulling ArMaP leg but that photo is the real one and I like the white color one. The lizard-rat is very clear in the photo. This is what I would like to see everyone do, then go on from there. Best photo in hand, the object pointed out and then go in for the workups. No body will get lost or toss a panty fit. The cards are on the table face up. And everyone is playing with the same deck.

No lizard, nothing but rock!! There are shadows, and half shadows, and besides that the angles are all messed up. Somehow the pixelation makes some think there is a lizard there, but no such thing. I will see if I can find a better photo of it, maybe from a MOC camera, but don't hold your breath because it may take me a while since I am working on some other photo stuff that someone "thinks" maybe has a real anomaly in it!! Well, maybe I could see a little something there, but it obviously is just a rock!   :P :P

Well in that case I will be sorry up front but out of all the photos I have seen so far I would have an easier time believing that this was some kind of Lizard frozen instantly and then fossilized over time and now the dust or sand has blown away to revile it.

Zorgons snake is in second place.

We even see that this has happened right here on Earth, so to go out on that limb is not as shaky.

Maybe someone can make a better outline. mice and I for drawing are like oil and water.

geeeeeeeeeeze rdunk..tell us how you really feel..hahahahahahahahah

it ain't rocket science, pal...it's all opinion and conjecture and good exercise too

beating a dead horse..now that's a waste of time,,,bwhahahahahahahah

ok.. so maybe it isn't a lizard or a rat or anything but  a wierd rock but how would we know unless we looked.?
i'm decent at topo maps  on earth but i have no reference point on somewhere else and i have no idea as to scale.. soooooooooooo  to me this is more just a fun  mental exercise and i hope i am not insulting  you guys who can work to scale with my guesses and opinions

::)

Ok, I got it now, if I turn my monitor off I can't see the lizard.

Someone pullng our leg?  This is one of the first objects that everyone except rdunk can see..

This actually looks like it could be something and rdunk leaves the field.. Whazz up with that?

It seems to be made from one object and it has rocks behind it that are a little confussing but it looks like you could walk over there and pick it up. Lizard dinner on Mars...

Amaterasu

I think rdunk was being humorous, rather playing ArMaP in a sense...
"If the universe is made of mostly Dark Energy...can We use it to run Our cars?"

"If You want peace, take the profit out of war."

UUUUUUUUUUUUUU got it!!  ;) ;)  It would take a person with one blind eye, and the other half blind, to not be able to see what looks like some sort of life-form, lizard or whatever a Martian 4-legged thing like this might be called!  :))
