I've seen it in my life and everyone around me, it's like a flow of positive and negative energy that needs to remain balanced. Polar opposites forever chasing each other. It flows through us and everything else from what I can see. ( I'd rather be parked in neutral territory. )

After we met at ATS and we formed the Living Moon website...  we tried our own forum with Beth(Undo) as main admin/setup.

The problem was, until recently, forum software was expensive, and required mega servers to run without bogging down.

So the option was free forums hosted by others  like Open Mind hosted by ProBoards

That means they get all the ad revenue and have control, as was proven when ProBoard shut down OM..

We used myfreeforums. Turns out it was free for one year then you had to pay for every three months or lose admin rights. The forum ran for some time without mods LOL then they finally deleted it as the host was going broke.

It was only recently that our server Globat increased service to include unlimited storage space and unlimited bandwidth... a very important factor in costs. They also included a server protected free forum (this one) and other free scripts like shopping carts, gallery etc. All this was NOT available before and a forum would have been very expensive to run and maintain

Globat has 24/7 tech support and free domain name plus you can host 5 domains on one account. All for $4.44 a month.  I wish we had that six years ago when we started

So yeah this IS John's home

BTW setting up a forum is a NIGHTMARE

This one is made by a hoard of free software designers and has a support forum, BUT if you are not familiar with programing you might as well be a baker trying to fire up a nuclear reactor 

This forum comes with over 4000 style sheets and to make a small change like text color requires knowing where in 5 pages...

I am fluent in html, but this is written in php, which I am just now getting the hang of a little. One wrong code and the forum goes down. Had that happen at the start.

So we need a good programmer on the team, or need to find the funds to hire one.

Its not easy running one... I still don't dare mess with the files to fix the UTF-8 character issue

It really should be a forgone conclusion. If you talk about new propulsion systems you are going to be watched. And the more interesting it is the more intelligence agencies are going to be tuning in. I was told once by a very senior fella that even the Vatican would be listening and that amazed me because in my childlike enthusiasm I had no idea that they had those capabilities. I have made one error... spent too much time on ATS OM etc and less time talking to those 'good guys'  One of them visited me and John, spent three days talking. He was DIA/AF Intel  posted at ATS as NJ Mooch Funny thing is he had his badge as avatar and in his profile said "If people at ATS knew where I worked they would crap their pants"  LOL Yeah he was the real deal

Several things to keep in mind... IF they really wanted the flow of info to stop...

1) They could simply shut down ANY site for any reason. Copyright is a good one that sheeple will believe
2) DARPA created the Internet for us to use
3) Your IP has your address phone number and credit card info. Your IP is obligated to report to NSA Unless you are hidden behind severl proxy servers they already have all your info
4) Cell phones can be monitored by anyone, like the kid next door with the right app. And your cell phone can act as a listening device even when off and had GPS tarcking And can be tracked by any MUOS tracking post around the world
5) EVERYTHING you post on the internet in a forum and email can and is screened by supper computers at NSA headquarters or ECHELON listening posts around the world

Not much to add but to tell everybody that I have changed my mind about Amaterasus petition, I will sign it after I finish this message. Let the chips fall.... and as a silent message that I believe in at least the attempt.... though it would be much more effective I think if it was aimed at someone of power in the Government. I have never heard of them to be frank. I would seek other petition houses  like Biogems for example  They have support from people like Robert Redford and Pierce Brosnan even people like Harry Reid and Shelly Berkly of Nevada. Our Medieval group signed up and that petition stopped oil drilling in the Arctic refuge

There are other big ones that do the work of mailing (They also solicit funds but that is up to the person believing in a cause)

it's hard not taking advantage of famous people you happen to know, as their celebrity status makes it much easier for the lowly masses to get some air time to a wider audience.

This is why I created the private areas. That way I could feel better about inviting some real players to the forum and have a place where we can talk without the barrage of trolls etc and keep the focus to serious question It also allows a buffer zone between egos

I know if I were to get someone like Ed Mitchell here ( a very good possibility) we would see many posts of star worship

Yes and I have been working on a thread about exactly that. I had it already at OM but didn't get it copied in time before it was closed... and it was one of the early threads I did here along with my survival thread and they went 'Poof' in the early troubles we had with the forum  so I need to redo it.

Patience I will get to it in the next few days... but I SUCK at typing

This is one reason we need to focus on a positive forward looking forum as opposed to resorting to bashing other people or forums. We need the positive energy to attract the right people

Has that at ATS  In the early days there I was getting unbelievable contacts... then slowly that dried up as ATS opened to Facebook and Twitter

I was even 'politely told' by a contact that it was time I moved on... but I was a little addicted to posting there because of the fast response

Well here it is 4 months later and now hoss58 is banned from GLP along with John Lear hmmm........I have not posted more than 5 times in the last 4 months!!. I requested an unban and was automaticly sent a denial in 3 minutes of posting the request.I fail to see how that request was reviewed in that span of time. something stinks!!
