Those metal balls are titanium fuel tanks. They are relatively light. There is no way one of those is heavy enough to do that damage and would not have fallen straight down. Also even if it did, it would still be at the bottom. Titanium is pretty tough stuff

One way to tell if it was a beam weapon... examine the debris.  A LASER will leave tell tale signs of melting... a PARTICLE BEAM will disintegrate metal etc into a fine powder... so there will be missing debris.

At 9/11 the dust was there, there is even a film showing steel core girders disintegrating to dust as you watch and the molten metal in the ground still red hot after 6 WEEKS

At the Pentagon there were unexplained torched cars far away from the fires

And I have documented reports of wise guy MIT students making elaborate crop circles  while testing those beam weapons

So my bet is on some form of beam weapon that went wrong

With 9/11 the debris was quickly removed and dumped in the ocean, so no one could analyze it after the fact... I wonder if we will be able to find out about the debris in THIS case

Would a beam weapon push the material instead of destroying it? From what I could see on the photos and videos of that place, all the floors came crashing down one on top of the other, creating a big pile of rubble at the bottom.

I saw one site saying that the official version was that it was probably water infiltration in the building's top that lead to the fall of the affected area. That area was repaired some time before, so they were talking to the company that did the repairs.

Thats a good point ArMap, as a beam weapon might be more suited to altering orbits, or telemetry, but did you see the power supply on that thing Zorgon posted?

As far as 9/11, the physics of pancaking or submarining is quite exponential, and all they had to do was start the collapse with four floors and the rest would be child's play as the downward inertia would be enough to continue the collapse easily.
As an engineer, I listen to the other engineers say how steel cant melt in a jet fuel fire and beams cant twist like that this way or another, and have to think..
