How can you be the commander of a database?

Good one Pimander...hit the delete button...lol
From the past into the future any way I can...Educating...informing....guiding.

Once upon a time I worked for a defense contractor in 1990 and the company built Avenger trackers...the engineers went to the Gulf War area and were literally jubilant about the fact that the equipment would get tested in real combat.  Wonder how many are doing that with new equipment over the past few years?  The F-22 in actual combat role (dropping bombs) is actually a support role.  Air to air combat with an equal fighter would be the real test.

You won't get rid of the Islam threat because you cannot get rid of an ideology unless you eradicate all the people believing it and then you have genocide.  Countries should tighten their borders...let this go on over there because it has been going for hundreds of years.  If your country goes to fight with an enemy like this...invalidate their passports and void their citizenship.

I know this sounds harsh but oh well....or like Zorgon said...nuke'em.

It might sound harsh in human terms but what does God have planned for them?

I have a difficult time considering it religion when it is accepting of executing women, children, infants, beheadings... in the "convert or die" context.  Not so Godly.
Time is the fire in which we burn.

How many times did it list when to KILL?    :P

Leviticus is even worse.  SO many reasons to kill in the immutable word  of God?  ::)

So we should nuke a whole part of the world because of a minority? What IS is doing we have done numerous times over and we did far worse! Its like back in the days of the church, the preachers held the power, in this case the Iman's that force their perverted version of the Koran( bible ) upon the Muslims(Christens/sheeple).

Jesus was a herder remember :D

And some fall for it, and some don't. They fall prey to the same forms of manipulation as we do.

Whether you like it or not, chances are IS is a direct/indirect product of our meddling.

Whether you like it or not, chances are IS is a direct/indirect product of our meddling.\

Of course it comes from our meddling.

In my opinion, we had nothing directly to do with forming or supporting them. We DID support the FSA, who turned out to be people who would later join ISIS as much as those fighting Assad for decent reasons, but I honestly attribute that to incompetence and idiocy. Not deliberate actions. Policies and actions have been actively degrading American intelligence and military capability now for multiple years. Even if we could have done it in the past, we couldn't manage it successfully right now, in our present condition.

Still, it has everything to do with the instability created by a lack of leadership or finishing a job for how ISIS could ever have formed and grown to 10's of thousands this quickly in the first place. At least in my humble opinion.

We literally obliterated the Iraqi military. What wasn't done in combat was done in storage lots later, as mop-up and housekeeping tasks following the invasion and occupation. So, we left them with only what we specifically chose and deemed them fit to handle. We left them all but defenseless against internal threats, and a joke without humor against anything coming from outside.

Well..... nature absolutely cannot tolerate imbalance from a vacuum. Its true in biology and its true in society at large. We left a vacuum Mr. Hoover of cleaning machine fame would have had a coronary to see. In came someone very highly educated with very deep, very personal reasons to hate us, and with a passion that vibrates from the strength of conviction.

I just hope now, that what has been done can be undone, and before that very intelligent guy leading ISIS manages to push the idea that they have bloodline mandate back to Mohammad for the building of the 3rd Caliphate. Their growth to be a BIG pain in the butt or a power worthy of a world war to remove rests entirely on that one factor and their ability to push the fiction in an area of the world where education is....optional beyond a lower level than we'd ever consider acceptable.

Just my two carrots into the blender.
