Peaceful civil protest trying to advance justice has been laid low by a mob of thugs looting and destroying.  Way to help the community.

Here is you "Peaceful Protest"

I would say the Police showed amazing restraint over this

MORONS...Guess Who's Going to Jail...
I recall back in a riot in Florida...

They were protesting because the Cubans were getting more aid...  but the Cubans had already paid back more than they got...

So the cops just closed off the area and let them riot.  If they crossed the barrier they were arrested

So they rampaged and looted, destroyed their OWN stores and businesses

Their own people that had move 'back to the hood' to help and make businesses were targeted. They spoke on TV and said they would never return  this is the thanks they get...

I recall back in New Orleans after the flooding...

They were looting big screen TVs caught live on camera, shooting at first responders and 120 black cops were involved in the looting including the mayor...

It is funny how quickly we forget this.

It's time to put those FEMA CAMPS to good use :P Round up the lot of em and be done with it

Angry Baltimore mom beats son after seeing him throw rocks at police

A suspected rioter in Baltimore got the smackdown of his life Monday by his mom on television. (WMAR)

BALTIMORE, Md. --
A suspected rioter in Baltimore got the smackdown of his life Monday by his mom on television.

The mother saw her son on television throwing rocks at police, reports ABC Baltimore affiliate WMAR. That's when she'd had enough, dishing up a dose of discipline.

In the video, she chases the adolescent around, slapping him and giving him a profanity-laced lecture that rioting is not OK.

WMAR said that the city's police commissioner, Anthony Batts, applauded the mom's actions

can't get the dang pics to move..sorry

ah found the  you tube.....GO MOM GO

Edited to fix images.

Now THAT is a MOM!

I don't advocate violence, and certainly not as negative reinforcement on children, but sometimes you need to step up and get in their face when they violate the very core values you seek to instill in them.

GO MOM GO!

When I said it looks like the Police showed a lot of restraint when they smashed the cars?

Well here is THIS

Baltimore Mayor: We gave them space to destroy

Seriously?

They she denies it!!!

WTF is the matter with these people? Does she not know that the News media RECORDS what she says? LOL

The Baltimore rioting makes me wonder what will happen here when the theater shooter's trial concludes.  No matter what the outcome is, someone won't think it's appropriate.  In the meantime, we get bombarded with the news coverage, and it brings back all the trauma of that day.  The defense offered a guilty plea in exchange for life in prison without parole, but the prosecution insisted on a trial, so the death penalty could be put on the table.  Executing James Holmes won't bring back the people who died.  The trial is tying up people and resources.  And if he's found not guilty by reason of insanity, how long will he actually be kept off the streets?  Mental health care is not a priority in this country.

Baltimore unrest live updates: Some defy curfew; police deploy tear gas, pepper balls - LA Times

28 April 2015    7:34 PM PST
As a 10 p.m. curfew took effect in Baltimore on Tuesday, it was unclear whether crowds would disperse or whether rioting would break out as it had Monday night.

Monday's violence began hours after the funeral of Freddie Gray, 25, who died after suffering a spine injury while in police custody.

What we know:
      A one-week, citywide 10 p.m. curfew began tonight.
2,000 national guard and 1,000 law enforcement officers are on duty tonight.
During unrest that began Monday afternoon, at least 20 police officers were injured, 144 cars set on fire and 15 structures burned. Some 250 people were arrested, at least 34 of them juveniles.
President Obama condemned the violence, referring to rioters as "criminals and thugs."

For once, we agree with the representative from Kenya.   :P

In Ferguson, a suburb of St Louis, peaceful protecters and media where fired upon by militarized police. The government has been giving local police Military equipment from battlefields across the world. Here is a list of current proven equipment used by law enforcement, given to them through the 1033 program.

In 2013 alone, $449,309,003.71 worth of property was transferred to law enforcement," the agency's website states.

Missouri police participating in the 1033 program have received -"aircraft (both fixed wing and rotary) and four-wheel drive vehicles (such as pickup trucks, blazers, ambulances and armored personnel carriers)," according to the state's Department of Public Safety.

The motto of the 1033 program is "From Warfighter to Crimefighter."

But now even colleges are acquiring these vehicles such as Ohio State University.

Lets take a look at what military equipment the local police are acquiring from the 1033 program.

http://newzvids.com/baltimore-mayor-thanks-nation-of-islam-who-gave-one-finger-isis-salute-after-gray-funeral/

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Thanks The Nation of Islam for their support during her press conference, this is the same Organization who was caught posing for a photo after Freddie Gray's Funeral giving the extended forefinger salute representing allegiance with ISIS and doing so also while posing with the 'Bloods' and 'Crips' street gangs who have vowed to band together to kill police in Baltimore.

In one picture they show the bloods, crips and Nation of Islam all in one picture and yes, they are definitely in Baltimore. I see the gang signs being given, I see the one finger sign of the Nation of Islam.  They stir up things from the shadows.  It's all about the power, it's all about the criminal enterprise for making the money for the gangs.  When they utilize a situation (perceived), then stir the pot, it's a diversion for them to recruit more young people, advance their criminal enterprise etc...

Of course Obama and some of our politicians will not leave this incident go to waist..enter the Hegelian Dialectic or what is called problem, reaction...solution.  We have seen these gangs in action in my county and have found out their plans.  This all ties in together whether the gangs know it or not.  The gangs have their agenda which is banding together syndicate style for the purpose of power in the "hoods" and more money.  Then the government says "lets not let this go to waste, this will give us an opportunity and we must seize it to further consolidate our power.  Dig deeper on the mayor and it will open your eyes even more.

Before any of you complain about this, I'd like you to reflect on the fact that war commemoration is the one topic that is considered exempt from critical thought, on this forum.  Adulation of the military will inevitably lead to militarisation and glorification of the police themselves, which is exactly what the government wants.

If you want to know why I consider said commemoration a bad thing, this is why.  It's because it imparts militaristic psychology to the civilian population as well.  If there is no psychologically distinct civilian population, then nothing remotely resembling a democratic society can survive.  Military organisation is the diametric opposite; it is inherently hierarchical; and hierarchy, by definition, is based on the predator/prey dynamic.  The predator is above, the prey below.

Baltimore prosecutor charges police with murder, manslaughter in death of Freddie Gray

Taken from the article:

One Baltimore police officer was charged Friday with murder, three with manslaughter and two with assault in the death of Freddie Gray, who a prosecutor said suffered a broken neck last month when he was left shackled at the feet and lying face down in a police van by officers who ignored his pleas as they made their rounds.

The death of Gray, 25, on April 19 of injuries suffered a week earlier touched off peaceful protests that degenerated into a night of rioting, looting and chaos Monday. On Friday, a crowd gathered around State's Attorney for Baltimore Marilyn Mosby cheered as she said the police involved would be brought to justice in the incident. Mosby said the police had no basis for arresting Gray, and described a harrowing ride in a van driven by Police Officer Caesar Goodson, 45, who was charged with the most serious crimes, including second-degree murder.

"No one is above the law," declared Mosby, who said she comes from five generations of law enforcement and has been on the job for four months. Her husband is Baltimore City Councilman Nick Mosby, who has spoken out about the riots and anger in the city's African-American community. "To those that are angry, hurt or have their own experiences of injustice at the hands of police officers, I urge you to channel the energy peacefully as we prosecute the case."

Gray suffered a broken neck, apparently while riding in the back of the Baltimore police van. While Mosby said Friday the medical examiner had ruled the death a homicide, police sources have said his injuries may have been caused by his head hitting a bolt inside the vehicle, according to local reports.

The officers and charges in the case include:

- Goodson was charged with second-degree depraved-heart murder, involuntary manslaughter, second-degree negligent assault, as well as other charges including failure to render aid and misconduct in office.

Quotesecond-degree depraved-heart murder

Wha....   I have never heard of that term before.

Quote"Depraved-heart" second-degree murder holds that the suspect held a reckless disregard for another person's life.

So it's 2nd degree murder without premeditation.
