I thought that could be the idea but I don't see it as humour.

The humor is in the couple's expressions... the guy being a guy and checking her out, his girl giving him the 'don't you dare' look :P

That's not what I meant, what I meant is if you wanted to know what people see, why not asking "what do you see" instead of just writing "perception"?

Is 'perception' not about what do you see?

COSMO

I saw a giant crab monster eating my penis...
And you may ask yourself
Well...How did I get here?

I still don't see the humour in that, but I never was much a fan of what most people in the US consider "humour".

I don't think so, to me, perception is more what we understand of something, after having captured the information through our senses, so, in this case, I think that "perception" would be better applied to the hypothetical humorous situation you described and not to not seeing the green Godzilla.

rdunk's conclusion that the young woman is going to the beach is more about perception than not seeing the Godzilla in the back.

In which image?

PS: should it be "which" or "what"?

Which is correct

And an American Humor reply to Cosmos's comment would be " Can I have some of what you're smoking?"

Thanks. :)

That's a good example of the difference between US and Portuguese way of seeing things, as the closest saying we have is "add more tobacco to what you're smoking".

Perception tells me that from your statement above we are not so different :P  Both replies alludes to WEED as being the "what" he's smoking :P

My perception tells me, besides that, that Americans want it while Portuguese suggest the other person uses less. That's the difference. :)

I don't seem to have American humor either, maybe 90% of what people consider funny I don't and yet I laugh and joke all of the time thank goodness my Husband seems to find MY humor funny  :) probably the only one in the whole USA :P
