To me, maybe slightly similar, but not really the same. Each does have an anomalous appearance in its setting, whatever is its make-up!

Knowing that Curiosity's wheels are 40cm wide, the "worm" is 4.5 cm long.

its more or less in front of the rover



small , yet too perfectly formed for something that fell, no sign of disturbance in the surrounding sand

Considering the size and the fact that it wasn't there in the early photos  perhaps the rover dropped one of these
