Well I would not attribute such activity due to a flat earth, but an invisible barrier created with advanced technology is not out of the realm of possibility imo.

I agree definitely.
The biggest argument flat earthers use is that WATER seeks LEVEL so the earth cannot be round :P
However WATER seeks to be a SPHERE when in free fall and it is not a function of gravity :D
