Well I would not attribute such activity due to a flat earth, but an invisible barrier created with advanced technology is not out of the realm of possibility imo.

The biggest argument flat earthers use is that WATER seeks LEVEL so the earth cannot be round

However WATER seeks to be a SPHERE when in free fall and it is not a function of gravity

Look at water drops on a leaf...



Will a glass to the brim and look at it from the side  You will see a very slight curve ABOVE the rim of the glass
