I took this picture last year out of pure curiosity. I've been Googling and Binging to no avail. I haven't been able to find out what kind of antenna this dish-looking thing is.
Do any other members know what this is used for?

I have no idea.
Hey, thanks ArMaP. I finally did figure out how to post the bigger pic, but I appreciate your help. :)
A search for semi parabolic antenna (https://www.google.com/search?q=semi+parabolic+antenna&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi2j7HK1dvTAhVHuhoKHZpPBkgQ_AUIBigB&biw=1366&bih=637) returned similar antennas, some for amplifying WiFi signal, like this one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/TP-Link-5GHz-30dBi-Outdoor-Directional-Grid-Parabolic-Antenna-/262940976088).
can't find on a general search.. sorry
but i have a few suggestions that may help
> knowing the state that pole was in might help in a search
>those look like some type of power equipment so check the power company web site for some type of weather protection device
>whose pole was it
> any military bases near that pole
>state police monitoring
> cell phone booster
hope that is of a little help good luck

That looks like a FM transmitter unit; the power company and the railroad both uses those, the railroad to communicate on relay/track junction status, the power company to report from transformer stations.
