I loaded this video and slowed it down and at .0280 when the object is in full frame, I noticed a black area behind the object that's different than the background. Don't know what it is but it looks suspecious to me.

I am going to guess a FA-18 Hornet. :P Regardless it is a terrestrial aircraft IMO.
My backyard faces the New Orleans Naval Airstation here in Belle Chasse. I've seen 15's, 16's, 18's and Stealth bank over my house to land and nothing looks like that...Just me though.... 8)

Hi Sarge, nice to see you here. Did you notice that same dark outline is also going up to the line above the center or longer shaft. Almost looks like the end of an arrow where the feathers are.

I was filming the moon on an overcast night with my 70mm digital spotting scope/camera mounted on a tri-pod. I don't recall exactly why I walked away from the camera,
when I returned of course the moon was no longer in frame. I kept filming for at least a 1/2 hr or so,
then called it a night. That's a good video on your rods,
If I remember right, the fastest wing beat of all the insects could produce a stream of 8 on either side. So when I see 3, it is a slow bug. A video that is running at 1/30 of a second actually records even less of that time. There is a split second for capture and clearing. Doing all that math years ago gave us the 8 wing flaps on one side as the max. So if you see 10 or so there is a problem. If you use high speed film, you should see even less up to none.
So after knowing this I went back on your video looking for wing flaps and never found any. The main bodies do have what appear to be bumps or dots connected but none of them look blurred. This is what sent us to look at dragonflies. Black wings that you can see through. To this date I can't prove that either. We actually went out here and filmed them here to see if they would match. No luck!
For me a least, it is still a true UFO or UFB, B for bug. If it is a bug(s) then how do the lights come on at the same time? So do the lights say plane? If so which one? Still a mystery.

I haven't read every post but....
Rods are insects....
....and the object in the opening post and in DEUMS frames looks like a plane. I'm not sure whether Sarge's dark patch means anything as I am not an expert on image processing. I imaging you guys would be better than me at identifying whether the image has been tampered with or is a fake. :)
