NEVER Let TRUTH get in the way of a good story!
Last few weeks I have been spending some time on Facebook, just scanning the reams of photos and BS that flows by endlessly hoping to catch something useful to post.
There have been the odd one... hard to spot amongst the noise and the silly photo posting and the 100's of inane comments "oooo pretty picture!"
But one picture today caught my attention. I had seen it before but never really found the source. I wanted that source so I could use it as an example. Well today I posted on the comments and was told I was nuts :P
Here is the picture...
I am going to task YOU GUYS AND GALS to find me the ORIGINAL
This photo is making the rounds on the internet as a base on the far side of the Moon, a secret NASA 'leaked' photo. Go ahead and google the image using image search (the little camera icon on google search after selecting 'image' option in search.
This photo is on Earth... yet NO ONE CARES... the STORY that it is a moon base is much better than the truth, so toss truth out the window and when someone like me comes along... just tell em they are on the wrong page :P
The PROBLEM here is that it makes any true seeker of truth or researcher shake his/her head in disbelief, saying "WHY do I bother?"
Listening to all the whistle blowers in recent years most ALL of them have opted to say "Screw the truth, they only want the story... so I will sell them the story"
People that we once trusted to be true insiders are now leading the field in selling BS stories to an ever fickle public
Hoaxer are far outnumbering true researchers and they have a bigger audience. All you need to do is spend a day at FB and see the comments on UFO and Alien pictures. The wackier the image, the more they oooo and ahhh
Take another story for example...
Muslim Brotherhood calls for the Destruction of the PyramidsWell even I fell for that one, because the Taliban DID destroy that Buddha and the MB is causing a lot of fuss in Egypt right now...
All over the web headlines say
Huffington Post
Murgan Salem al-Gohary, Egyptian Jihadist, Wants Pyramids And Sphinx Destroyed
The Blaze
Egyptian Jihadi Leader Says: Destroy the Pyramids
Gatestone Institute
"The Sphinx and Pyramids Must be Destroyed"
IB Times
Radical Islamic Cleric Calls To Destroy The Sphinx
'Destroy the idols,' Egyptian jihadist calls for removal of Sphinx ...
english.alarabiya.net/articles/2012/11/12/249092.html?
Nov 12, 2012 – "All Muslims are charged with applying the teachings of Islam to remove such idols, as we did in Afghanistan when we destroyed the Buddha ...
So with all that going on no surprise we would believe it...
But then there is THIS
Holy hoax: Radical Islamists call on Egypt to destroy pyramidsQuoteIn the post, a person masquerading as al-Mahmoud labeled the pyramids "idolatrous" and asked Egypt's new president to destroy them, as Egypt's Daily News reports.
Several conservative websites used the news to raise alarm over the rise of Egypt's Islamist government.
According to rumors, al-Mahmoud encouraged Cairo to "accomplish what the Sahabi Amr bin al-As could not."
This was a reference to the Muslim Prophet Mohammed's companion, Amr bin al-As, and his ancient tribesmen who invaded and conquered Egypt in 641.
An Islamization process was begun under his rule – which saw many Egyptian monuments destroyed as "relics of infidelity."
However, demolishing the pyramids was prohibited during the 7th century – so the structures remained untouched.
The parody tweet was published on June 25 – the same day Muhammed Morsi was announced president of Egypt. However, it wasn't picked up by media until today.
The fake tweet that sparked frenzy in the Arab Media coincided with a genuine attack on cultural heritage objects by radicals.
On Tuesday, Islamist fighters destroyed two tombs at the famous Djingareyber mosque in the Malian city of Timbuktu. Witnesses say militants shot into the air to warn people away while they smashed the shrines.

http://rt.com/news/egypt-destroy-pyramids-islamists-007/
So here we see how a TWITTER TWEET can cause SEVERE DAMAGE
All was a hoax, but I wonder how many radicals took it seriously, just as the social medias believed it real?

I have NO room in my heart for these Muslim extremists.
Does that make me a bigot or a bad person.?
Really. just pass me the nuke and i would press the button and send them er..... i cant really send them back to the stone age now can I, THAT would be a STEP FORWARD.

THAT is awesome. I would love to travel and see all the ancient structures peru, egypt, easter island, etc.
and these extremists want to destroy them.
IT'S as bad as king Henry v111 and all the monasteries and castles he had demolished. sad,
Okay the POINT I was making with the image in the OP is that 99% of people will just accept that its on the moon because someone on the internet says so... and then share it as such.
The post at FB that I found it on already has 115 like and 67 shares. Seems he even removed my comment that it was on Earth and replied "Aliens are here(A.R.H) Now Ron I do believe you my friend are on the wrong page!"
So with that kind of an adudience, anything we do to show real ones is lost in the noise because while ours are "obviously blurry rocks" pictures like this are "obviously a base on the moon" :P
The source of this is from Keith laney, grandfather of Lunar Anomalies himself
His quote:
QuoteThe shapes and lines within these craters as displayed in this study stand out as being very well placed, exhibiting complex geometric organization. All of them contain attributes far more reminiscent of being archaeological in nature than geological. Quite frankly, it resembles many ancient ruins on Earth as seen from the air.
Aerial archaeology has been the single most important development in that branch of science since its inception. It has so far proven invaluable as a principal means of locating and identifying suspected ancient ruins of this type on Earth. There is absolutely no reason other than negligence for the same principles not being applied to suspected artificial ruins elsewhere. The Moon's surface has been pored over by geologists, but not by archaeologists. This is a result of either gross oversight, or overt avoidance and neglect of scientific responsibility.
The possibility of finding remnants from other civilizations during our ever developing space endeavors has been discussed for decades, and by think tanks no less illustrious than The Brookings Institution. Their conclusions on this matter were that it would be detrimental to our civilization if knowledge of such findings were announced. This is more than likely the reason why the Moon has escaped the attention of archaeologists and the research application of archaeological principles and practices. The fact that this study must be purely photogrammetric is of little consequence, because photographic analysis is the primary focus of aerial archaeology. The only thing lacking towards applying this to our planetary neighbors is physical verification, or ground truth

no i'm pretty sure that and the one I posted are if not the same then they are at least from the same region of ancient Iran.
regardless. what I struggle with when it comes to the moon anomaly's is scale.
I just cannot get a grasp on it I need some point of reference. some "size compared to a car"
sort of type thing.

Operation DownstrikeI saw this story referenced as a link in a thread on ATS and after reading the WHOLE story (all 4 pages, phew) I thought of this thread here at Pegasus.
In a nutshell the story goes like this. A CIA exercise called "Operation Downstrike" uses civilians to rob banks to see if they would be qualified for future clandestine missions. Can you handle the stress, if not, the agency isn't interested in your services. If you get caught, no problem, the CIA will bail you out within 24 hours...and you get to keep some of the money!
QuoteIn a white-walled interrogation room in a small Virginia police station last June, two detectives were trying to get Herson Torres to crack. Surveillance video tied him to two attempted bank robberies in the area during the past week. The skinny 21-year-old didn't have a criminal record and seemed nervous, but he wasn't talking. The detectives showed him pictures of his brother and father. They told Torres he could be sent to prison for as many as 25 years.
"If I tell you, you're not going to believe me," Torres said. He was crying as he told them an incredible story about being recruited by the Defense Intelligence Agency to participate in a secret operation testing the security of Washington-area banks. He said he'd been assigned to rob a half-dozen banks over four days. And he told them about Theo, the man who hired him and gave all the orders—even though Torres had never met him.
Angry, his interrogators accused him of making up a ridiculous story. Still, Torres persuaded them to look at the text and e-mail messages on his cell phone; he also gave them the password to his Facebook (FB) account and urged them to retrieve a copy of the Defense Intelligence Agency immunity letter from his glove compartment. The police locked up Torres on a charge of attempted robbery and examined the evidence. By the end of the night, they weren't sure what was going on, but they suspected Torres might be telling the truth.
http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2013-04-18/in-virginias-fairfax-county-robbing-banks-for-the-cia#p1
Its an interesting read but when you make it all the way to page 4, the TRUTH comes out. The mysterious CIA contact behind the Operation who went by the name Theo was finally discovered.
QuoteInvestigators quickly traced the number to a 26-year-old named Joshua Brady living in Matoaca, Va., a quiet town of 2,400 more than 100 miles south of Washington.
Brady was sleeping on Aug. 17 when federal agents entered the dingy ranch-style home he shared with his mother, grandmother, and 10-year-old brother. Investigators seized computers and found several books about the CIA. Prosecutors charged Brady with impersonating a government official and three counts of attempted bank robbery. Each crime carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
With crooked teeth and an acned face, Brady doesn't look like a confidence man. Yet his voice—mild, almost monotonous, with a hint of Virginia drawl—conveys professionalism, experience, and sincerity. In an October 2012 jailhouse interview, Brady appeared calm, insisting he was an intelligence agent. He claimed he was being penalized for trying to blow the whistle on the CIA for letting Torres take the fall. "This was not the kind of operation I wanted to work on," he said from behind a glass partition in the Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw, Va.
So in the end, some kid with lots of free time and quite an imagination duped a lot of people. Then again, maybe there is something more to the story.
QuoteIn October state prosecutors dropped the case against Torres without explanation. The CIA and federal prosecutors in Virginia declined to comment. Torres agreed to be called as a witness against Brady, though he may not get to testify. On Jan. 29, Brady reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors. Under the agreement, he pled guilty to one count of using a forged federal judge's signature. The government agreed in exchange to drop the bank robbery and impersonation charges....Brady could have faced up to five years in prison for forgery, but the government is recommending he be sentenced instead to three years of supervision in his mother's home. He's agreed to seek mental health treatment, and he's back in Matoaca. He may even get his seized computers and the encrypted Operation Downstrike documents back.
Charges dropped?? getting all materials that were used to pull off this stunt returned?? Sounds fishy ???
Accused CIA Imposter Arrested Again for Impersonating OfficerJoshua Brady is back at it. This time he works for Homeland Security.
QuoteJune 29, 2013. A Virginia man whose charges of posing as a CIA agent and recruiting people to rob banks were dropped by prosecutors last month was accused of impersonating a Homeland Security officer.
Joshua Brady was arrested June 26 after federal agents swarmed his mother's home in Matoaca. He was charged in a criminal complaint in federal court in Richmond with one count of impersonating a federal officer, which carries a maximum sentence of three years in prison.
Brady allegedly called two hospitals in the Richmond, Virginia, area saying he needed rooms for an undercover operation and identifying himself as a Department of Homeland Security officer Jacob Attlinger, according to an affidavit filed in the case.
The charge comes a month after Brady was sentenced to three years' supervision in a plea deal where federal prosecutors dropped charges in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia, accusing the 27-year-old of being behind at least three attempted bank robberies in the Washington area last year while posing as a federal agent who went by the name Theo.
Brady, who pleaded guilty in January to sending a forged judge's signature to Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) in a dispute over an unpaid mobile-phone bill, was ordered by U.S. District Judge John Gibney to stay away from the Internet for one year and receive mental health treatment.
The kid is good! Another interesting tale.
