Well Gilligan's Hideaway, a Black Ops hangout just a few blocks away is having free all you can eat burgers and hot dogs with fixings and a huge strawberry shortcake sunday
Then tonight the neighbors get together at my friend's house (in the street) and set off fireworks He is a teamster too and his buddies all chip in a couple hundred bucks and go to Moapa Indian reservation, buy some really awesome (cough cough illegal) fireworks and then there is a competition with the carpet layers union a few doors down. Lasts about an hour... best show in town despite all the Casinos display
The cops? well they cruise by to look :D But then they are in the teamster union too :D

There are so many fireworks in Vegas you cannot take it all in but there is a parking garage by the university that gives you a view of the entire strip

For every hour Americans spend online, only two minutes is spent reading news, according to Experian, which doesn't leave much time to absorb details like "satire" labels, judging by this email collected by Snopes about this false rumor: "TheLibertyPaper.org posted that Obama made a speech to a group of college students today, that we should not celebrate July 4th and the separation from Brittain (sic) ... Please tell me this isn't true, that he didn't really say this. If he did, we're ALL in trouble!"

Whether it is true or not, one absolutely cannot base a final determination upon what "snopes" says about a thing. Their credibility has long been at political suspect and doubt.
The really sad thing about this OP subject is................Obama has said enough, and done enough, to give anyone who wants to understand him for WHO HE REALLY IS, the clear knowledge that this is something he more or less is saying very loudly to the world about America.
His overt actions are the physical results of his thoughts and desires for this country. Based upon his many actions, celebrating the 4th of July is way less important to him than the "CHANGE" he so dearly desires to get fully implemented, while in the Presidential office.
ETC, ETC,.................................................................!! There is no end to this as long as he remains in office -impeachment needs to be the course, on the basis of his illegal actions in governing.

yeah its true... the Mulberry trees are okay with the heat so are the Canna Lilies. They seem to do fine in the shade, half shade and fulls sun though the ones in the sun have brown edges now
The veggies? well I will go take some pictures and maybe you can tell me how green things are :D
I may just have to give up and only plant stuff that likes the heat. Geraniums and my gooseberries and red currents moved them into the shade but they didn't make it

Dang pool went green... had to get the pool chlor guy out and add more chlorine... seems with the heat it burned off almost all of it in a week. Just got back in from vacuuming it and tomorrow will have to tear down the filter to clean it. Usually only need to do that in fall

Some ding-dong decided he was above the law and started a three acre fire at a local park. He almost barbcued some houses. Arapahoe county is under a fire ban due to the wildfire season in Colorado. Oh, but that doesn't include Mr. Bonehead and his kids, right? Some of us here would like to keep breathing. The last time I had this much ash on my car was after Mt. St. Helen. I was living in Colrado then too.

Simple solution... create a false identity and use that for all the free stuff :D It works I set up one the only thing they get is a real address to send stuff too and a phone number that only goes to a machine. We get lots of free stuff :D

We have a big fire here too... saw the smoke last night covering the west part of Vegas before the fireworks. We have been begging for rain to cool us down. Well we got it but the thunderstorms start with lightning and that set off a fire in Mt Charleston... still raging... the smoke looks like a volcano erupted. So we got some rain... but mostly wind, which just made the fire spread faster
