How's that working out for ya?

Well Gilligan's Hideaway, a Black Ops hangout just a few blocks away is having free all you can eat burgers and hot dogs with fixings and a huge strawberry shortcake sunday

Then tonight the neighbors get together at my friend's house (in the street) and set off fireworks He is a teamster too and his buddies all chip in a couple hundred bucks and go to Moapa Indian reservation, buy some really awesome (cough cough illegal) fireworks and then there is a competition with the carpet layers union a few doors down.  Lasts about an hour... best show in town despite all the Casinos display

The cops? well they cruise by to look   But then  they are in the teamster union too

There are so many fireworks in Vegas you cannot take it all in but there is a parking garage by the university that gives you a view of the entire strip

@Soma, to make good BBQ you need a good cut of meat, the right seasonings, pecan and applewood chips, plus plenty of time...

Obama to College Students: Do Not Celebrate Fourth of July

"America is a great country. There is no denying this. However, I caution you all as you step forward in your careers. Peer back into history and ask yourselves- Was a revolution truly necessary? Great Britain may not have had it completely right, but they had many things right. Take taxes for example. If your neighbor makes $1 Million a year, but you and your family can barely keep the heat on should he not help your family? God instructs us to help our neighbors. He does not instruct us to look down upon them though the windows of capitalism. Why then on the Fourth of July should you celebrate such a radical break from what is Godly and just? No doubt there are many voices warning you of the harm of big government. They are wrong. Government can provide you with what family and friends cannot. If this is gone what will you have?"

The Latest Obama Outrage: the Family's $100 Million Vacation

How much do you spend on your summer vacation? American households usually spend about $1,200 per person on summer vacations, according to a recent American Express survey.

Presidents spend more on their vacations than you or I. They have to. Air Force One and security does cost more than loading the Honda and heading to the beach.

Here's how much some recent presidents spent our tax dollars on vacation.

Ronald Reagan spent most of his free time at his California ranch. Taxpayers covered the cost of approximately $8 million for presidential travel during Reagan's first six years in office, according to the Los Angeles Times. That amounts to $1.3 million a year.

For George Bush the cost of flying Air Force One to his Texas ranch was approximately $56,800 per trip, for each of the 180 trips according to Media Matters. President Bush spent Christmas during his two terms at the White House so his staff and secret service could spend the holiday with their family, according to Conservative Byte.

Now Obama plans to blow away all previous presidents' leisure travel costs on our dime with a better than Disney World extravaganza trip to Africa.

However Obama had to cancel the safari because of the need to fill the surrounding jungle with snipers to guard the president from wild animals!

The trip will cost upwards of $100 million, the highest cost for any presidential vacation since Bill Clinton spent $50 million for a single vacation and it wasn't to Arkansas.

The Obama vacation will require a hospital ship stationed near their resort in case anyone needs medical attention, 14 limousines, aircraft and an additional 56 support vehicles. The cost for protecting a president is enormous.

Should President Obama spend $100 million on a week's vacation?

Yes, the president is entitled to any extravagant vacation he wants
No, presidential vacations should not cost nearly that much!
