I peeped out to look it all the options for a radio shoutcast account and I think a chatroom/radio hour or two would be the chats meow. Shoutcast can be acquired on the cheap cheap for say, 20 a month or less depending how many open slots are needed/used with 128k or 64 bitstream. 64k should work with talk radio streaming and cost less than 20 a month.

You can download winamp and a winamp shoutcast plugin to broadcast on the cheap cheap as long as you have a streaming server and a website to place the chatroom and a winamp player code for the listeners.

Planet Pegasus if system lord Z says ya, good, do that than.   

Do we register, or use our existing login?

Last week big oak tree torn up by the roots took out power lines 100's of thunderbolts sounded like a continuous roar  Street turned to rivers...

I believe Thor can do that for you, but I wish you would reconsider Sky :( You are a very respected member of the PRC family, would be a crying shame of we couldn't discuss real time with you via chat room over some issues and discussions.

Sorry for entering this particular conversation, but that's the lack of order in conversation in chat rooms that I do not like, as being a chat room it allows several conversations at the same time, like in a room with many people at a party, it's hard to follow one conversation in particular.

At least that's how I feel and why I don't like chat rooms. :)

PS: I don't like places with too many people talking at the same time in real life either.

I like chat, for when the room is focused on a topic, it is awesome to see what develops.  Maybe a rule?  At X time We will discuss Y until Z time.  (X,Y, and Z to be determined in posts here.)

You'd be amazed at the ideas that can come out as thoughts build on thoughts in the immediacy of things...  Sometimes such thoughts don't get said.

Just sayin'.

IMO, a chatting group is just another name for "forum". The primary difference I can thik og, is on the forum we have specific subjected posted, and can quickly go to any we are interested, and post a "chat"!

In chatting, I would assume that one goes to a chat room, and eitherlooks at what has already been said, and posts a "chat", or waits until someone does say something, and one chats back a reply.

Sounds like just another different pile of words that say, "let's get together and talk about subject were are mutually interested in"! HUH?

If I were going to "chat", I would go to Facebook. There one at least get to choose "friends" one wants to "chat" with. :))

Here, one does not have a choice, and the first thing you know, one would probably find him/her self "chatting" with "Z"! hahahahahahahahahahaha

The biggest disadvantages of chat rooms are;

1) They suck up a lot of time (so do IM programs)

If you only have a couple people on your list its not so bad but when you have hundreds all around the world in many time zones, you cannot answer them all and still get anything done

2) Too many people in a room and the conversation falls off the page :P

As it is I can't even keep up with all the posts here :(

That's another of my problems (although not the main reason for not being interested in chat rooms), as most people is from the US, they choose times that are good for them but too late for me, even if I go to sleep at 2 AM.

As almost all other things, a chat room is a tool, but it's not the kind of tool I use and it's used for a kind of work I do not usually do.

I can see and understand everything being said of the 'Negatives' of a chat with in a forum such as Peggy, but yet do I see anything positive as far as being able to get a research group together and stay in contact via the chat with  in said researches.

A chat area can be fundamental with in our little community, and for the most part, it is always going to be a 'Personal Preference' regardless. If there is such a bad example of a terrible chat scenario, it would have to be something as massive as the groups at ATS, but even they have it set up for one to get private chat rooms going for the serious minded. Or the PM/IM to chat privately from one to the other.

It is not a waste of time or a bad idea, even if it is to say 'Hello' to a fellow member or to get a serious research group going. There are actually very few dedicated here that are here on a daily basis, and with that being said, almost all , if not all of them are contributor's willing to go the extra mile for such things as disclosure or the research involved. It also gives a person a point of support if they are trying to find something with in such research and have hit dead ends or cannot seem to find what they were searching for, it is a great medium for not only Comradery but an open line of communication real time, whether it is a set time and place meeting of the minds or a jump in chat to see if someone has anything to assist with in the understanding and give some research help.

A good example of this is Ama's up and coming interview Radio show, we are utilizing to both chat and prepare for the best we can to give support and give ideas too better be on the same wave length of understanding. When these scenario's happen, we are direct representatives of the PRC family, we must be confident with what we say and discuss. And there for personify what the dedicated member's with in our group will confess to openly during such event's "Our Web Home is Pegasus research Consortium and The Living Moon." And that is important and vital to get as right as rain.

Though we are only human, and provided we have this avenue to prepare, it is for the greater good of both the individual and the PRC image as a whole. IMHO.

Chat is and can be a very good thing, but if you are not into it, well, Dems Dah Beans!! :P

im all for classing the place up all we can.as long as it doesnt step on zorgons toes.i too want to see our dreams succeed for all the members.

but i do agree having lots of different aspects to pegasus could be beneficial.
especially back when my fone crashed.i lost pegasus until i found sarge and he linked me.i was freakin.lol.
i dont know how to use chat .so a primer would be helpful as how to use symbols and navigate.also is there a way to link email or something so i can be instant messaged.that way i can jump in anytime someone shows up to chat.

Skype works great also, free audio (even mobiles) and video 1 on 1, if you want group video, you have to subscribe, which i might do, a lot of the SensTest conferences happened there ;)

oh yea german cnc and german printers and polar cutters and injection molding equipment.them guys love their symbols.i got thrown on a cnc as a temp and had no clue.begged the owner to move me.i was making single engine airplane carbs and didnt trust myself.moral of story.dont buy an airplane carb from a manufacture in abingdon va.
i still dont have a clue how to run a cnc. could easily learn the program language but they wouldnt even supply a book.ruined alot of tool bits and aluminum.

Hey stealth, Robo does it all the time on his android. Maybe he can help. Skype is cool .i like having chatzy because flux is almost always there after midnight central time weekdays.
As far as skype its real easy if you got wifi on droid.just download the app .its free.but i went ahead and got minutes for phone calls.super dooper cheap.also last month i got a number from them for 18$ for three months .that way folks can call us.since most folks arent using skype.if you do skype.be careful.your camera could be on.you may not know .dont want to share crotch shots.

There ya go, another satisfied user.  I will say. DO NOT TAKE ANY INCOMMING CALLS OR ACCEPTS FROM ANYONE YOU DO NOT KNOW. And even then see if you can back it up. like here, Hey robo is that really you requesting me. If I get a WTF, I decline. If I get a Yea its me we move on. If you use it like face book and accept anyone you will get hacked or mailed to death.

I block any user who tries this, do not accept.  So far after over 6 months, none of us have any problems. You can either leave the connection on or just turn it on to see whos on line and go from there or if both are on line here send a pm to go skype.  Knowing someone on Skype [we dont use videos except for robos crotch shots] only the voice and drag and drop options so your face is safe if you wish. I dont even own a camera for the computer.

It makes better friends, thats for sure. We get to know each other besides type. We love it....Ok Robo turn the camera off now. ::) .   PLEASE!   lol

Hey, we are world wide. There is usuall one of us on to BS with or go over a post. We even had up to 6 on one time. Most of us are in the inventors group. So this group is strong there but don't let that stop you. we like to start things. And so what if they listen, just don't say anything that will get you to see a water board and your OK.

Many people have to use other names or they use their real names on Skype. Just be very careful who you accept and you should be OK. Remember we are the good guys. If anything the snoops use us to fix the problems...

No its not me.ive gotten some folks like insurance companies try to call me but i never get the call.tfw tried to skype me a few days back but i was on phone with family at that time.

I'll pop on after work and leave the chatzy open in another tab while browsing the web. I'm also on Skype and had a chat TFW the other day. I was surprised how clear the voice chat was over Skype. TFW mention getting a few people together on Skype for a group voice chat which I'll try to be around depending on time difference :)

I imagine that everytime I pop on the internet there is more spyware chasing me than software I'm using. Welcome to my China world. I have Chinese skype. That means they have to hire an interpurter. Makes more work for people and feeds people. It must pay well to keep up with us.

Exactly what do you think Skype is doing to you that you are so against it. Do you use a cell phone, fax or any internet. You're on the listen list. I know if I keep the Skype window open it is talking to mama skype. Telling mama, I am on line and waiting for you to call. If you want, just turn it off when not using it and that trickel stops.

I got a chance to talk with Flux today and we started a new UFO project. What we did in one session would take days to a week in text here and all without the little questions that come up.
