I don't know if I understood it right, did you see it when you took the photo?

PS: the next time you want to take a photo at something near the Sun use something with the shape of a lollipop or a coin suspended from a wire or thread to cover the Sun. :)

Sky, in Fruity's defense, otters are pretty hairy/furry.  I saw some of your relatives at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo last month.  They said hello.

ah shasta I was teaseing the bat..that's all.. cause I had already said it was hubby

ArMaP
we were cleaning up the garden a coin on a thread was the last thing i thought of..
but i think i got a couple decent shots
and i tried to isolate the purple thing and got these
since my time was all messed up it was probably one of the satelites passing over
especially since it had those different lights on it
now if i could figure the white dots..
sigh

A leaf would have worked. :)

Did you see the purple thing when you were taking the photos or only when looking at the photos?

No satellite I know is that bright.

Quotenow if i could figure the white dots..
Those dots are the most interesting part of the photos to me. :)

no  i didn't see them when i was taking the pic
but i was kinda seein pink everywhere from looking into the sun

standing in the shade and shooting across to the halo got the best results
but only part of the circle

i'll see if i can make the dots bigger..later

well there were satilites in the sky that day.. i copied the chart for our sky on that day
and several were very bright so it could be one of those

but like the green night time blob i got years ago this was also in the south western sky..
almost the same place but lower in the sky
so that is going to be considered my hot spot from now on

As far as I know there aren't any satellites bright enough to be seen during the day, specially through the clouds.

The ISS is one of the brightest but is invisible during the day.

I knew you were teasing Fruitbat, Sky.  But he's my bat.  I have to defend him.  It's in my contract.
