how close was the shot..if it was in the back yard..where on the planet
what time of year...all the ususal questions

I'm not convinced of that either.I have been researching Rods for some time now.
To be honest it reminds me of an x-wing as LSWONE mentioned.

That's a good video on your rods,

If I remember right, the fastest wing beat of all the insects could produce a stream of 8 on either side. So when I see 3, it is a slow bug. A video that is running at 1/30 of a second actually records even less of that time. There is a split second for capture and clearing. Doing all that math years ago gave us the 8 wing flaps on one side as the max. So if you see 10 or so there is a problem. If you use high speed film, you should see even less up to none.

So after knowing this I went back on your video looking for wing flaps and never found any. The main bodies do have what appear to be bumps or dots connected but none of them look blurred. This is what sent us to look at dragonflies. Black wings that you can see through. To this date I can't prove that either. We actually went out here and filmed them here to see if they would match. No luck!

For me a least, it is still a true UFO or UFB, B for bug. If it is a bug(s) then how do the lights come on at the same time? So do the lights say plane? If so which one? Still a mystery.

I haven't read every post but....

Rods are insects....

....and the object in the opening post and in DEUMS frames looks like a plane.  I'm not sure whether Sarge's dark patch means anything as I am not an expert on image processing.  I imaging you guys would be better than me at identifying whether the image has been tampered with or is a fake.

not being atechie i'm not good at getting a still of it
but maybe you can see it if you look for it
