if the rover is really on mars taking pics..what is taking the pics of the rover?
The pics are taken by a camera on board the rover.

Hmmm I think I see what your getting at.

Spirit in "Columbia Hills"

Spirit on Flank of "Husband Hill" - click on pic for full size

And my favorite one... the poor rover looks so lonely on that hill watching the Martian Sunset

Posting to get this threads updates. I like this suff..

On the lol, I think Mars got hit by a wooden meteor.. Did you notice they drove right over it first then turned around to take a photo or 4.   Deuem

The shots may be of questionable origin, but if they are from Mars, those artifacts are clearly ooparts, even for Mars!
I hate to say it, but the woodpile looks like the ark of the covenant, and that sleeper, looks like it's surrounded by submerged footers, or foundations. The "ark" also appears as if it has slid out of a pocket that fits its shape perfectly.
Was this supposed area underwater at one point? If so they could be naturally occuring quartz or crystals of some kind?
Im kinda out of place here with this subject, but as Zorgon showed me, my eyes are wise!
Cheers!
