It's supposed to mean that older generations are responsible (in part) for the way the younger generations behave.

Well MOST of the blame lies at the feet of LAWYERS

You cannot discipline kids these days because the little PUNKS can take you to court

School scinece labs   removed all dangerous chemicals and even bunsen burners in the classroom. My high school chemistry lab was fully equipped...  now today they do what is called 'kitchen chemistry'  baking soda and vinger :P

Can't have little Johnny sueing the school because he was stupid and burnt himself on that bunsen burner

TRY to find a GOOD chemistry set today in a science shop  hell try to find a good science shop :P that isn't all souvenirs and cute animal stuffies

Back in high school we had the strap...  You screwed up in class you were sent to the principal's office... hold out your hand and WHACK!!  Then you went back to class red handed :P

It wasn't the pain that made it work :P It was going back to a class of your peers with that red hand...

So now we have a society of namby pamby cry babies thanks to everyone being afraid of getting sued over everything.

So yeah I guess in that context the adults are to blame :P

In Portugal we didn't have to go to the principal's office, the professor did it in front of the class.

Hahaha . . .

You can't blame me. I'm the end of my genetic line. I was unable to have children.

I'm afraid to lest I be targeted by Homeland Security, but they're not out there anyway.

Chemistry was a blast when I wad a kid. We really did blow s**t up. My uncle made his own gunpowder. He was artillery out of ROTC. He had miniature cannons that he blew off in the back yard in Minneapolis.

Pissed off the neighbors, but we all cackled like hens.

He worked on classified stuff, but I'll withhold where. Tons of patents. One wall of his family room was covered with plaques for them.

Jesus, another trip down Memory Lane. Nothing gets better with age.
