A Rainy Night (and Day) in Georgia...

It isn't unusual to have a lot of rain in the Peach State during March, April, and May; but this past Monday, April 3rd, we received somewhere in the neighborhood of 2"+ of rain, complete with severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, and destructive straight line winds; plus the weather forecast for Wednesday was for more of the same...

Yesterday was sunny and warm, complete with those pesky contrails criss-crossing the sky that never seem to fade away, just a beautiful warm spring day...

starting at 7am this morning we had severe thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail roll thru; every 2 hours since then we have had storm after storm roll in, with high winds, tornadoes, hail up to baseball size, and torrential downpours spaced by occasional glimpses of the sun, flash flooding, and upwards of 4-6" of rain...

it is 11pm now and the train keeps a rolling...

It was a tap in that I post this.

I am a huge Conway fan and just love this song.

Stay safe my friend.

I heard that chemtrails are sometimes used to make rain.  Not sure about that, but that's what I read.

Oh and they make us sick as dogs.  I'm gonna get em one day.
I know that I know nothing - thanks Capricorn.

Seeker what you got came through us around 6:00 am. Tons of lightning and rain. But it was moving fast and the worst was gone by 8:30 heading your way.

That is about the time it started, for 6am for you is 7 am here; must have been the tail of the train, for it finally stopped here about 45 minutes ago and for the first time today there isn't anything else on the radar...

the last line of storms seemed to sit on top of us for over an hour with steady lightning and pounding rain; glad I haven't set any tomato plants out yet; my neighbor had probably 15 tomato and pepper plants; had, for the rain hammered them flat.

I knew it was going to be an interesting day when I went out this morning between storm fronts and there were 4 squirrels sitting on my pontoon boat under the canopy...

my rain gauge is showing 5 1/2 inches for today...
Edit to add: the official rainfall total for Atlanta was 4.76 inches of rain; I just checked mine and it likes about an eighth of an inch being 6 inches  8)

I have 4 medium sized bird feeders that I have to fill every day plus what I put out for the doves, pigeons, and squirrels...
