I'm fascinated by all things nuclear, but cognizant of the dangers. Nevertheless, I found this video really interesting. Blue is the color of death.

This is the Breazeale Research Reactor at Penn State. (9:26 min)

I've never seen blue as indicating trustworthiness. On the other hand, I look at this reactor and know getting close to it is certain death.

I was at a local sheriff's department decades ago and was conferring with a deputy in their booking room, which was painted fuschia because the sheriff had read that it was a calming color.

The deputy told me all it did was piss off the drunks, so I do agree with you to some extent, but I think fuschia would piss off anybody because an entire room in that color is too much stimulus.

I just went and done my homework on what blue is associated with and I only found one reference with it relating to death -  in ancient Egypt or something, and a few south american/Korean cultures relating it to mourning. 

But I've found predominantly more  references to blue being associated with trustworthiness, which seems to be the dominantly held opinion in Colour Psychology and by marketing and behavioral specialists.

You are missing the point.

You implied that what Amy offered, about blue being trustworthy, was a 'metaphysical belief' as opposed to 'reality', which I presume you think your suggestion is? 
Whereas all the evidence seems to suggest just opposite.

The fact that the reactor is blue and will kill you is coincidental, the sea is blue, but it's full of life.

Sounds like everyone needs to do better homework; that blue glow that Irene committed on is called Cherenkov radiation; leave all the color associations and metaphysical aspects put away, for they do not apply to nuclear reactions; that pretty blue glow, if it wasn't shielded by the heavy water in the reactor vessel, would give you a lethal dose of radiation in seconds.

How many of you have ever physically been in a nuclear complex?
