i go to g books link and read to like 3rd page down and it mentions islands of the immortals.then antarctica pops in my head.then just now im thinking about the goldfish story in my antarctica thread which gold fish have been a oriental hobby for years.so i wonder if this all ties together somehow.how old can goldfish get?
maybe goldfish diet can aid in immortality or hints to a link to immortality.just some thoughts off the top of my head.

I think there are immortals here; if only they all looked like Christopher Lambert. ;)

heres some interesting info, coi fish and then heres a squid story too.maybe the immortals arent people but squids in antarctica.maybe eating these objects shares immortality enzymes or the enzymes in them trigger our dna into immortality.the squid story actually talks of it turning back into a polyp.
if immortality is ever hacked, odds are it will happen here on pegasus!

Yep I agree, very smart people here.

The oldest reference I could find was this page, apparently from 2013, with the same story.

In the Russian video there's something I couldn't find on any written page, references to Spetsnaz and KGB.

If we search for "Tisulsky Princess" we can find many sites, all with the same story and mostly from this or last year.

Edited to add that this page appears to have more information.

I read a book some years ago about a British explorer that was mapping some borders in South America that was told a story about a plant that was used by birds to make holes in rock cliffs, and I think it was the person that told him the story that also told about someone that had his spurs melted by the same plant.

Marble melting in the sun doesn't sound like the same tech as melting rock to make it easier to work with. In fact, it doesn't sound as any tech at all.

How do you know it wouldn't work on marble? Have you tried it?

Maybe it's marble-like. Maybe things were different then.

No picture, so we're all SOL.

What, sunlight? That's what I said wouldn't work.

Yes, right. There are many things we don't know though, so I will keep an open mind on it.

Sorry, I don't understand it. Does that mean that sunlight can melt marble? ???

ArMaP, at the risk of sounding narcissistic, I think maybe you were put on this planet to annoy me.

I don't know if sunlight can melt marble. We've seen and read about a lot of crazy things over the years, yes? And we admit we don't know everything? We think there might have been advanced civilizations here in the past?

Sunlight melting marble? Who knows?

It does sound narcissistic, and no, you aren't special, I do this with all people, when I don't understand something I ask about it. :)

QuoteI don't know if sunlight can melt marble.
If normal sunlight can melt marble how can marble statues and buildings exist? Marble is widely used in construction, and having been born above a stone (mostly marble) cutting shop, I know that marble doesn't melt in the sunlight.

I think that sentence about marble melting in the sunlight is the result of a bad translation.

QuoteWe've seen and read about a lot of crazy things over the years, yes?
Yes.

QuoteAnd we admit we don't know everything?
Yes.

QuoteWe think there might have been advanced civilizations here in the past?
I think it's possible, but I doubt it.

QuoteSunlight melting marble? Who knows?
If it melt under sunlight then it wasn't marble, it's as simple as that, marble is a metamorphic rock, itself the result of the melting and compression of other materials.

I suppose that image is for "illustration purposes" only and not supposed to be the real woman in the marble casket.

Yes that is Snaow White and that casket is glass not marble :P

QuotePS: it looked familiar to me, so a quick search showed me that the image comes from a TV series I watched some time ago, Once upon a time.

WOW I am impressed!!! ArMaP watches Faerie Tales :D

Jōb, definitely, Jōb.  ::)

I believe I did say somewhere along the line that maybe it only looked like marble.
