Personally, as Somamech I've been a Cluster Headache Sufferer since the age of 18, I am now 41.  I've been a lucky one so to speak as I only suffer once per year for about 6 week's plus minus a month or two, and on odd occasions, I have missed a year of a pain from hell.

One thing after all these year's may be helping me... Vitamin d3.  Although there is a Cluster Headache Forum I won't link it as it may create more Bias toward's scrutiny than what any sufferer of Headache's need's.  Trust me, they aint called Suicide Headache's for no reason.  Over the year's whilst suffering them I've wanted to blow the part of my head off with a shotgun to get rid of the pain... that not suicidal, as I want to live, I just don't want the pain.

Anyway all that aside,

I will link to the Vitamin D wiki as a former Navy Pilot stumbled upon the lack of Vitamin D3 within Headache Sufferers in General, and yes he is a Cluster Headache sufferer. 

I would like to Add that Cluster Buster's also funded a study using LSD and Magic Mushroom's in the reduction of CLuster Headache's to great effect, but like anything of that nature it's almost impossible to clearance within the medical structure for it become a cheap legal medicine.

Most of these regimes should also work for Migraine Sufferer's too!

Although I have no aversion to trying this method and infact did get myself  3 measly mushroom's last year which I enjoyed when I could feel the effect's very slightly, I'm not sure if the mushrooms were the cause of my remission this year or the d3 regieme. OR a mix of Both.

All I can say is that I was a on a 15km run over summer and got the dreaded Cluster...I thought thats it now, I'm in Cycle... as I know as I've got older sustained excersise of about 50 min's can induce a cluster headache if a cycle is about to start.  Well I dosed up on the d3 and never had a cluster cycle.  That to me is a miracle!

Anything that gets rid of them or helps then go for it.

I just wish that medicinal cannabis oil was approved in Oz, that would help a lot of people I know.

I know someone in the US that used to have up to 50 seizures a day, after being approved for cannabis oil and the chuff, he is now down to 2.
