Can you help with NVG question.

I'm wanting to capture anything in the night sky through NVGs.

The thing is I'm told you have to have infrared to see anything.

What should I get, and no I don't want to spend a fortune. 

I hope to get these just before I move.  Thank you in advance.

To see the Critter it is best to get Generation 3 NVG  Last i checked they run around 5,000.00 US for the military grade. Might be cheaper ones out there

My advice... find someone who has them (UFO club) and use them (usually at events)

Once you have seen the swarms of plasma critters a few times you will get bored of it
