They will race past the US at their present rate in just a few years.  I think about the Nazis and wonder, 'suppose they were more collective in leadership, less cultish and emphasized hard science over mysticism'.  That describes China to me.  In addition, Iran is racing ahead, too.

In reality, there is only one form of national government: Warlordism.  You can either have a solitary warlord, which is generally referred to as either a monarchy or a dictatorship; or you can have a group of warlords, otherwise known as an oligarchy or a republic.  Feudalism was a scenario where a group of warlords had another central warlord who was considered marginally more powerful than any of them.  Democracy is a system where the people of a country are permitted to choose which one of the warlords sits in a slightly more ornate chair for four years.

The only way in which it really varies though, is whether one or a group of warlords are in power; but the one thing you never have, is a scenario where the warlords are not there at all.

I agree,and if not for my own real experiences with buddhism.i would end up the warlord!
Thats the one thing holding me back from being the ghengis khan of the 21st century.
