This is interesting...

"For years have scientists and researchers debated whether or not there is another massive planet orbiting our sun at the outermost edge of our solar system?

NASA has issued a press release stating that there is evidence to support our solar system does indeed have a NINTH planet—and its 10 times the mass of Earth: it's a super-Earth.

Now, after years saying there isn't enough evidence to support the existence of Planet Nine, aka Planet X, NASA highlights FIVE different lines of evidence which suggests that the elusive world does exist, beyond the orbit of Neptune.

But despite the fact that NASA has admitted the alien world—probably—exists, we have still not seen it with our own eyes."

Where's that press release?

I clicked thru the link above to read it, Armap; but that doesn't mean it's more than someone pumping hot air, just haven't had time to pursue it yet; life does interfere at times...

I found the "press release", here.

It doesn't look like a press release, it looks like a news article, as it says more or less the same as the article in the opening post: that a planetary astrophysicist at Caltech in Pasadena, Dr. Batyagin (not a NASA scientist, as the article implies), thinks an extra planet, 10 times the mass of the Earth and 20 times as further away from the Sun as Neptune, in an orbit perpendicular to the Earth's (and most planets') orbit, explains all the five strange characteristics the Solar System presents.

NASA admitted nothing.

Thanks for finding it ArMap  8) I figured with all the gloom and doom crap being posted you needed something to stimulate that Vulcan mentality  :P

The Caltech work has been supported independently by some scientists in Madrid last summer.  The study was based on a study of the distribution of extreme trans-Neptunian bodies.

Planet Nine hypothesis supported by new evidence

Last year, the existence of an unknown planet in our Solar system was announced. However, this hypothesis was subsequently called into question as biases in the observational data were detected. Now astronomers have used a novel technique to analyze the orbits of the so-called extreme trans-Neptunian objects and, once again, they point out that there is something perturbing them: a planet located at a distance between 300 to 400 times the Earth-Sun separation.

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/07/170712110457.htm

The object is approximately 300 to 400 AU (FYI astronomical units are the distance between the sun and Earth) which is ten times the distance of Neptun/Pluto to the Sun.  This is an extremely distant object.  There may be many very large but very distant objects in a loose orbit around the Sun in my opinion.  They will be very difficult to detect.

The researchers suggest there is also a "Mars sized" object about 60AU from the sun.  This one is far nearer but still twice as far away as Pluto.

Although the objects (and others) probably exist in this Solar System, the ones postulated so far don't appear to behave like the Nibiru described by Zecharia Sitchin.  The Mars sized object is smaller than "Nibiru and the orbit of the more distant object has an orbit unlike the "Nibiru" described by Sitchin.

My only objection to this announcement, is that the cult of Zachariah Sitchin will probably interpret it as a form of encouragement.  ;)

Agreed  and why is it Planet Nine?  LOL what happened to Pluto, Eris, and a few other smaller ones like Ceres?  :P

NASA has always said that there is a "possible" dwarf star just outside the solar system that pushes comets sunward...  they call it NEMESIS
