How do we reconcile this?

I've been reading about how polarised America is at the moment.  Some people are opposed to Trump, while other people think he is doing great things.  If any of the people who support him are on this forum, however, can you please explain to me, how you think this is positive?

Maybe I am making something out of nothing, here; but to me this is in extremely poor taste, and if nothing else, it is surely only going to give more ammunition to the people who already don't like him.

If I get a response from LittleEnki in particular in this thread, I would also request that he refrain from taking his usual stance, where he seems to think that I am attacking his patriotism or his country, and so he needs to counter-attack.  Instead of a reprimand, I would like an explanation of what this means, and why Trump or whoever is on his staff, might have decided to do this.  It just seems deliberately self-destructive, because again, I honestly can't see a purpose to it, other than to add fuel to the fire for his opponents.

This has actually been removed from his Twitter feed, as well.  On seeing it, my level of disbelief was such that I needed to verify that it was real, and not an image manipulated by Trump's opponents to harm his reputation.  The below Facebook link, however, confirms its' validity.  Apparently someone from Trump's staff agreed with me that it was counter-productive, because it now only exists in one place, rather than two.

Before anyone accuses me of it, this is also in no way intended as a criticism of Trump for including an Independence Day message on his feed.  Of course he's going to do that, and he previously had a photo of himself with fireworks.  I am not objecting to that in any way whatsoever.

What I am objecting to, specifically, is the commercialism.  I am also suggesting that, with the level of opposition he already has, surely it is imperative for Trump not to engage in acts of self-sabotage, or to do things which again, are going to accomplish nothing other than giving more credibility to said opposition.

Much to do about nothing. I regularly see this type of advertising in emails and such. Mostly due to my conservative political slant. Not in poor taste at all.

I think Donald Trump was a very poor choice for president.  I will not buy any of his merchandise.  I will continue to vote for people who I think are better qualified.

So far he's been better than most. I voted for him, couldn't vote for the Hilliary crook.  8)

Despite how it may seem, I honestly agree with you about this.

He is kicking ass, taking names, ending wars, aggressively driving business, generating the same level of employment in one month than recent presidents generated over a year, etc., etc., etc.
He has done more in a year-and-a-half than any other contemporary president in history.

He's my man in 2020. Not only because he's doing a great job, but because his reelection will trigger an historic, massive nervous breakdown on the Left.

Much ado about nothing for the most part; unlike the majority of the other politicians, Trump funded his own campaign instead of riding other people's pocketbooks; it is probably one of his staff with access to his account and feeds that handles the majority of this for him as campaign fun raising materials, petrus

Given that it was removed from his Twitter feed and only left on Facebook, that is what I figured.  I'm unsure why it would have been removed only from Twitter, though.  Is Twitter considered higher priority do you know, where social media is concerned?

Donald Trump was elected for ONE MAIN REASON

He is NOT a Politician  He is a Businessman

The US of A was on the edge of bankruptcy, both financially and morally... so we needed a business man to fix things...

He is NOT taking the presidential salary (About 400.000ish a year)  But then he probably makes that much in interest from ONE of his corporations.

He is a marketer :P  Selling polictical souvenirs has been going for a long time  and they become collectable  I recently sold one on Ebay for 15.00

And of the choices we had  who is better qualified?  The USA is a corporation...  who better to run it than a corporate executive :P
