Why does'nt Earths atmosphere boil off into the vacuum of space ??

Genuine question btw not trolling -   

I just woke up, looked outside of my window and the moon is rising, a very beautiful image, and I was wondering what the atmosphere is really like on the moon, and then I thought its a dead airless planet with almost no gravity according to my physics teacher at school, I dont know if that is correct or not tbh - and then I was thinking space is a vacuum, why doesnt our atmosphere boil off into the vacuum of space ?

I suppose it's for the same reason we don't float into space, gravity.

Gravity and the earth's magnetic field that serves to protect us and our atmosphere from the solar wind

that is one of the issues with Mars, no strong magnetic field to help protect it...

because your physics teacher is not teaching electromagnetohydrodynamics.he is leading you down the short bus hallway.

all mass has two factors,charge and magnetism.the two resonate together in whats called a tank circuit.this circuit creates what we know as gravity.the inverse square rule is used for gravity,charge and magnetism because they are all mathmatically related.
