This latest round of governmental shutdowns and furloughs appears to be highlighted by the utter moronic and childish behavior of the current batch of congressmen/women and senators stemming mainly from the debate/argument/pissing match over the mexican border wall

not to mention that they want to increase the number of immigrants and provide them with a damn sight more aid and benefits than are available to our own natural born citizens...



I was asked last night why we aren't protesting, marching on washington, rioting in the streets, etc., and I have to ask myself why we aren't 

I believe that all of congress should be fired and a new crop voted into office

Wow....... This statement is very much the same as was made in an old and very valuable book many years ago.   Now it has come true!  A lot of statements

from this old book are proving to be accurate. Should make people think, but it doesn't seem too.

When I first moved to the US in 1993...  I was listening to the CB radio on the way to Salt Lake City...

The talk was about truckers heading to Washington to protest a 6 cent hike in fuel prices...!!!

I said to myself "YEAH!!! This is the right country!!!!"

But today I see that no one cares, no one gets up in arms about anything and the public generally has reached a state of total apathy...

I saw Nancy Pelosi (78) getting the hammer as Speaker of the House...  she was fondling it and grinning ear to ear like the total batsheet crazy lunatic she is... and yet she still has that position...

78 years old and totally insane... but we cannot remove these psychopaths...

WHY do THEY get a paycheck when the Government is in shut down?  WHO issues them the check? some poor minion forced to work WITHOUT PAY?

I would seriously consider returning to Canada, but it's not much better there at the moment and buying a house in any decent spot is so far out of reach it's not even an option...

These Kindergarten Politicians need to get tossed to the curb. Enough already... these olf fossils need to be replace ASAP before we find ourselves worse off than a third world country

Alreay 48% are on food stamps and other assistance  Toys-R-Us. K-Mart, WalMart and now Sears are closing many stores so there go thousands of jobs.

The grocery stores are putting automatic tellers in with only one live person working... there go thousands of jobs...

The cost of housing has gone so high no single person on a regular job can afford even a small apartment...

If no one has full time work, there will be no money to spend so online sales will drop as well (as has already happened to us)

Etsy we used to sell average 1 item per day, now its lucky if we sell 1 per month.  Ebay sales are down 64% according to their metrics on my account...

Cheap items with free shipping from China make it worse... especially when the US Post office actually helps them ship it free....  but dare be 1 ounce over weight on a local package and there is hell to pay

Well I have no where else to go... so we need to hang in there.... but America has become the land of the WUSS...  where truth has no value and bullsheet sells...

Hmmm  maybe it's time to create some good bullsheet and get rich...

Yes the States CAN get together and remove the current government... BUT

1) it requires a lot of states to be together on this... and
2) it would mean absolute chaos during the transition

I would move to Vancouver area but house prices are insane up there right now. I would however get my full Canadian pension and the US/Canadian dollar value would work in my favor but dang  not sure I can do that

Yes, it can be legally done, but it is a very involved process and during the reconstruction process total chaos would reign; the majority of the state governments would have to be in agreement, steps would have to be taken to remove the largest part of the federal bureaucracy, such as the IRS; the issue with that is the U.S. govt is the largest employer in the world...
