Oddly enough though, they SAY they want them  but in reality very few have been let in  and those that have have women and children with them  and are NOT the hordes of young male seeking to cause havok
The fact that we don't see women in the photos doesn't mean that there aren't any, only that they were not present when the photos were taken, which, considering the situation, would be expected, if I had wife and kids on that situation I wouldn't like to have them with me on possible dangerous situations.

Also, there's a difference between migrants and refugees, most real refugees have their families with them, while most migrants move alone.

Being a small country makes it difficult to receive a lot of people. Also, as we are a relatively poor country by European standards, some refugees prefer other countries and move away when they see we are not rich. :)

QuoteOh wait  I forgot Portugal is Socialist :P
No, the present government in Portugal is led by the Socialist party, with the help (in parliament) of the Bloco de Esquerda (Left Block) and Communist parties.

QuoteWell your welcome to have them :D
I am, they are as welcome as all other people we already have here, people from EU countries, Brazil, Portuguese speaking African countries, Morocco, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Tibet, etc., I have seen people of all those origins here in Almada.

PS: do not assume that "Socialist" has the same meaning in Portuguese politics that it has in US politics, things are different.

It should not be considered excessive sympathy for Islam, to observe that the American military's own lack of restraint is primarily responsible for the current migration crisis.  American military actions, beginning in 1990 with Desert Storm, have either destroyed or destabilised the governments of numerous countries with Islamic majorities, and have ended the period of relative Muslim dormancy which began with the fall of the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the First World War.
Exactly, first the UK with its failed colonialism and then the US with its colonialism disguised as "spreading democracy" have been responsible for many of the problems we have now, as they acted as if their actions could not have bad consequences.

But a government forbidding a group of people from following their own traditions is not oppression.  ::)

Dressing up like a ninja so none of your body is exposed because otherwise it would be considered "PRESENTING" is not tradition it's protection plain and simple.

A point I have been making all along. No one has problems with REAL refugees...its the hordes of angry migrants that is the problem

So your saying that the migrants figure they can't get enough free stuff from Portugal because your poor :P That kinda proves my point :P

The protection is because it seems these males cannot look at a girls body part without triggering a desire to rape :P

Not that long ago in Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq  girls dressed like they do here, even wore bikinis...  That was about the time of the Shah of Iran...the 70's...

then came the extremists and took over  This is a group of girls actually going to college in Tehran pre 1979

Not migrants, refugees. Migrants usually go directly to the country they want to live in, refugees take what they can get, as they are treated in a different way.

But yes, some are looking for the best deal possible instead of just getting out of a bad life.

THAT is a good question actually

I here people saying most Muslims are nice people... and all those I have net have been...

I even took on an alternative persona in the form of an Arab Sheikh and had my own bellydancers :P  That persona is Omar Kharin Ali Allah Akbar. No Arab EVER took offence, in fact many tried to help me make the character more realistic.

Sorry for the bad picture  this was before digital camera and lighting was poor  Samira is in center I am to her left in black

In fact the SCA Kingdom I am in is Kingdom of Caid  which is predominately Middle Eastern personas..

But something changed  Suddenly the hatred started to rise... our belly dancers were getting insults and threats even.

Was around the time of the Iraqi Gulf War....

Wikipedia says:

One of the most dramatic changes in government in Iran's history was seen with the 1979 Iranian Revolution where Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was overthrown and replaced by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. The patriotic monarchy was replaced by an Islamic Republic based on the principle of rule by Islamic jurists, (or "Velayat-e faqih"), where clerics serve as head of state and in many powerful governmental roles. A pro-Western, pro-American foreign policy was exchanged for one of "neither east nor west", said to rest on the three "pillars" of mandatory veil (hijab) for women, and opposition to the United States and Israel. A rapidly modernizing, capitalist economy was replaced by a populist and Islamic economy and culture.

The leader of the revolution and founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, was Iran's supreme leader until his death in 1989.[4] He was followed by Ali Khamenei.

What this does prove though is that a very small number of RADICAL can and do take over... despite the fact that the majority of Muslims are peaceful...

It happened in Germany with Hitler... look were that got us

The reason it happens is because the silent peaceful majority NEVER steps up to stop the radical in their own country...

This answer has to be THE BEST EVER

But that still leaves us the question...

What started the sudden switch? Who is behind it?  I have heard the Khasars are responsible, who are supposedly the roots of the Zionist Jews and the Saudi's

Well both Israel and Saudi Arabia certain;t have been behind a lot of recent political events

It is like dangerous to dig into that  Mike Singh was banned from ATS when he offered proof that the MOSSAD was behind 9/11  and Congress says we can sue the Saudi's for 9/11, something that Obama vetoed, but that veto was overturned in a unanimous vote against (all but one nay... Harry Reid)

The "Deep State" (used to be called the Cabal, PTB or THEM :P ) has an agenda and this is part of it... mostly in the US but the rest of the world as well

zorgon

WHY have we allowed a Muslim that hates Israel and our way of life (and is outspoken about it) into a seat in Congress?

HOW did this happen exactly? Two positions sworn in to the system using the Qu'ran and both of those are members of that new Justice Democrats group...

Now we saw how quickly AOC's Green Deal was shot down ... so there is hope..

But we need to look at the brains (and money) behind this movement...  Mark my words it WILL be a serious issue in the next few years

Not only that, it also proves that, when the people thinks the government is not doing what they are supposed to do (support the people, keep the country's traditions, specially in a country with such a rich history like Iran, etc.) the people will follow the first leader/group that appears to do what they are wanting to be done.

In Iran it was getting rid of a monarch that was turning the Iranian culture into an American-like culture, moving away from the tradition religion, not keeping the promises of economic growth and making disappear their political opponents.

In Germany was mostly the terrible economic situation and the presentation of the Jews as the source of the problem.

Now we are seeing in Europe political parties appearing to solve the "immigration problem" or the "refugees problem", so people do the same thing and follow them without thinking.

Things in the Middle East turned worst when the UK decided that, instead of giving that land to the Palestinians, as they had said they would do, decided to give it to the Jews for the creation of Israel.

QuoteWell both Israel and Saudi Arabia certain;t have been behind a lot of recent political events
Both have a strong influence in the US, one because of the amount of oil they have, while the other has a more complex connection.

Mike Singh's banning was not because of the topic of his thread.

HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW????!!

A total of 468 seats, 33 Senate and all 435 House seats are up for election on Nov.3,2020.
TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE!

dreb13

It would be nice if there truly was separation of Church and State and religion played no role on politics but unfortunately, things don't work that way.

Pennsylvania politicians recently started off a session with a prayer after swearing in the first Muslim representative.  Is this any better?
