Can I ask if anyone has any problem in the last hour trying to access the PRC forum ?

For some reason I was unable to do so for some reason and tried several times.

Unless Admin were doing something with the website at the time that prevented  members access.
or maybe it was an issue with  my Network , also being in the U.K ...but I was able to access other websites OK.

I had no problems, but I never log out, so I don't need to log in.

Also, I wasn't doing any thing to the site or database.

Thanks for confirming that for me ArMaP.

But that leaves me unsure as to why I was unable to access the forum.

It could be an issue with my network provider possibly, but overall I have not had too many problems with it in the past use with them.

I am a bit concerned that I could be being monitored at times and somehow I am being targeted at times by whoever they maybe, if say they had accessed my network provider somehow and was aware that I am accessing PRC.

I have been offline for a few weeks and only recently this week reconnected online.

I had one strange issue yesterday... I recieved a text type message on my phone that gave me a NHS Wifi number...but when I look for a copy of that today.. it does not seem to be listed..unless its another type of message that is listed elsewhere other than a text.

which I find rather unusual... unless somehow networks are now doing this to its users...esp if they somehow no one may not be vaxed.

I have recently read rather a disturbing article of things that companies or organisations can now do to access peoples phones or send them messages ...as they have ways of obtaining hacking tools from some cyber companies that now sell the tools to them...

Although I would also expect any major type Govt in ref to any of the security services would have this anyway if they require it.

It could be a temporary problem with the connection between your service provider and PRC's server. Although we are used to generally flawless connections to whatever site we want to visit, the fact is that it takes many connections between different networks to do that, so any temporary problem in one of them may affect some users while leaving all others unaffected.

Unless you use some kind of  proxy, your service provider can know the IP addresses of all the sites you visit. According to their conditions of use, they may or may not sell/give that information to other organisations.
Having said that, I seriously doubt anyone is interested in what sites you visit, unless you are, for some reason or other, someone of importance in real life.

I don't see how they could know you are vaccinated or not, that would take a lot of unnecessary work, but the company that provides your phone service has the capability of sending unsolicited messages to you, as, obviously, they know your number.

Again, according to the terms of the contract, they can sell/give that information to other organisations or not.

Exactly.

It just seemed strange at the time as to why I could not access PRC website/Forum...and generally even in the past it has occurred on a VERY few occasions other than when the forum was officially down for some reasons .

but as I had only very recently resigned back up to my network provider... and was accessing other websites ok... and tried over maybe over an hour say 6 times or more and could not connect at all to PRC.. that did just concern me !

Unfortunately at the moment I am not able to use a Proxy because I am still on Windows XP and when I tried proxies in the past they used to work for me on XP... but unfortunately now they no longer do.

Generally I would not classs my self as anyone important... other than being being a member on this forum to some services that MAY class me as being so.

I have had a couple of past issues when on the phone when I do believe that I was being monitored..
one being when I spoke to someone about a TR 3B that I witnessed the phone got cut off... that was very weird..
as its only ever occurred once.

Another issue when I called some Govt service and had to go thru a HUGE Phone menu to eventualy get to speak to some dept where I had some how managed NOT to officially identify myself after the menu messages were trying to get my info...  I was then asking some VERY indepth questions which I dont think they liked one bit...

so I suspect there is a possibility they may have somehow noted my phone details even thou I had attempted to hide them... but that was a few years ago.. and not recent.

Other possibilities maybe for looking at certain websites that may question the Covid / vaccines issues etc or certain opinions about the Govt ! ..

That all could be within certain organisations interests.

I thought that the idea of this so called data protection that we had enforced on us back in 2018 was supposed to stop such things... but it seems maybe the other way around in many cases..

such as Network companies may well pass on our info to allow  other companies to have our details/ phone number etc..  RATHER than ask us 1st ,if we would offer to allow that..

INSTEAD what they are doing is saying ... if you dont want us to this.. let us know and we will stop it.

I just contacted my network provider to question the situation and that is more or less what I was told..
I then tried to ask more indepth questions after querying what they said and they cut me off !  ???

Exactly.

This could be much more common than we realise as its so easy for them to have anyone that they may question to be placed on their data base...

It was. If anyone is caught using someone's data without their consent they risk huge fines that can be as high as 20 million Euros or 4% of the annual global turnover of the company (whichever is higher).

It would be a huge risk being caught doing that.
