Amish Disease Anomalies

There is a news article out today titled "Amish farm kids remarkably immune to allergies: study". What this study shows is that Amish children have a very very low incidence of allergy related problems. Well, maybe, coincidentally, or maybe not coincidentally, the Amish also seem to have almost a non-existent experience with autism, according to another article I found today.

Now, to me, this is extremely interesting, and maybe very telling, relative to potential sources for cause, of some of our medical problems.  The Amish live very simply, drink fresh raw milk, and in the main do not vaccinate their children. And there are many other differences in the way they live their lives.

One would think, answers to questions this subject might raise, could be fairly well answered in a short time of study (if answers really wanted to be found). Real "answers" could change and improve the lives of many.

Anyway, I thought this might be of interest to some of you, so I am posting links to two articles, one related to allergies, and the other related to a search for autism in one Amish community area. If there exists any other good relative info, I will post that for you also.

As I understand it, the Amish are also not afraid to get their hands dirty and don't have the germ phobia that many of the "English" have.  That would probably account for the lack of allergies.  Autism?  Not so sure anyone has that one figured out.

Indeed, Shasta! It seems there are a host of differences from us to them.
Autism is usually linked to vaccinations, but I have a feeling it is a dna issue, and is getting worse!
We damage our children's dna with all the crap we feed them, and deprive them of antibodies when we clean their every nook and cranny. Keep having too many children America, and overpopulation will be the real problem!

As far as germs go, the kids who pick their nose and bite their nails are the ones who stay the healthiest...dont ask me how I know! :O

Organic food is another answer to their seemingly healthy existence, and good gardening skills are a must for the young amish before they can move forward in the community.

I wouldnt mind a few weeks of amish training, and we all could learn a lot from the simple folk they are. Oh wait, we already knew all of that, and the corporate world took it from us with their gm foods, and pesticides that cripple our dna everyday.

When I had My daughter, I chose to not worry about dirt.  I wiped Her face with plain water, but did not concern Myself with keeping "germs" away.  She has been astonishingly healthy - though My sister did have Her vaccinated against My intense protest.

The Amish have a better clue than most of Us.

There seems to be a HUGE push in the USA to prevent ANYONE from consuming raw milk or any milk from a cow that has not been whacked with big time steroids and antibiotics.  The paranoid side of me asks why the aggressive tactics?  Why do we have to consume GMO foods?  Why is there no way we can demand GMO free labeling?  Dairy is something we consume from birth, it is a telling observation that the Amish are free of so many ailments that we English suffer.  I swear that this over protection that we as a society do to ourselves causes more problems than good.  I agree with the above poster about allowing my kids to experience outdoors without a bubble surrounding them.  I have some family members who are so phobic about germs that they will be the ones that catch everything, go on a 5 day z-pack and later become immune to all antibiotics. 

Perhaps the big pharm, big brother, and the fear monger media will be the downfall of many.
There will be a day where it will become illegal for us to grow our own fruit and veg, grow our own meats, and God forbid, buy seeds that aren't monsanto.

Heaven help us all.

The reason is not Us.  It is a concerted and deviant plot against Us to ensure We are ill and need medical "help."  It is mindfully and purposefully perpetrated.  The why should be very clear.  They want Us dead - slowly, so They can leach out all Our money first.

If they are thinking along the lines of the Georgia guidestones, then my question is who would be the sheep if we were all killed off?
I think maybe we are the cattle and are kept dependent and docile so we will be productive.  In the long run money would become useless if we as a society were thinned out too much.  Fat and content would be to their advantage.  We would need those drugs and the modified foods to keep us working into old age.

They are happy with a small "herd."  Half a billion is easily controlled.  Now that They have free energy and robots, Humans are mostly useless to Them.  Except as sex toys.  And experiments.  And outlets for Their psychopathic whims.

I always pass on seasonal shots.  It was a bit of contention for me working in the health field.
I would tell them to use mine on the elderly who needed it more.  Honestly, I don't get sick much and rarely get the flu, so I pass.
Some places would actually fire you for refusing, I had to sign a declination sheet.

I really have no informed knowledge about vaccinations vs autism, but, I have read about a few personal and direct experiences of people and their associations with autism. And for me, it is a little hard to discount a vaccination/autism "link", if the first signs of autism occur within only hours of the vaccinations having being given. I don't know how prevalent that situation is, but that is the scenario, for certain, for at least some of the autism cases. And that is why so many "parents" believe the vaccinations really are the real cause of autism.

There is likely various articles on the net that discuss both sides of thought. I did mention in the OP that I might post other items of interest, so, here is a link I just found titled "AUTISM - Currently one in every 68 families in America has an autistic child". This article does provide a little more history for us, and opens more reason for concern. Of course, this has been a huge concern for many families and others now for a long long time. Just not much has been done to bring to light the true fact of this "autism devil".

I worked at a place that threatened to fire a pregnant nurse for following her obstetrician's directive to not get a flu shot.

It may be that vaccines can trigger latent autism in some children, but I'm not a neurologist, so I don't think I can say for sure, either way.

I an certain that there is a direct link between autism and "vaccines."  So many kids are bright, healthy and normal - and then become autistic within a week of having the jab.

Many, many, many.

So, for those whose children did not show immediate effects...  SV40 can take decades to cause cancer.  Keep that in mind.  Just because there was no autism caused does NOT mean there was no damage.

Amaterasu makes a good point.  I didn't have trouble with flu vaccines until that last one.  It sent my immune sytem into overdrive.  I looked like I had a string of beads implanted in my neck because the lymph nodes were so swollen.
