Calcium fluoride or sodium fluoride?  Or did You mean fluorine?

I dunno :P  Does it matter?  Will you stop eating apples based on that?

Scary, Amy, as they could just leech anything they want into the aquifer, and we wouldnt know a thing.
Look what the drugs have done to folks already who have to take them, they are zombies, with no mental capacity anymore!

Robots?
Yes, in an organic sense!
Le

I agree.  I think the water here is adulterated.

I imagine I will feel much better with freshy water.

Though I eat an occasional apple... I am not highly fond of them.  I think I'm slightly allergic.  But...  I get Your point.  [smile]

Oh no, I love apples!:(
Do you live in Suffolk still Amy?

I thought NY had some of the best water, from that big reservoir. Is that the source where you live?

Im sure the water in the creek at that place in GA is quite good and it probably contains some beneficial minerals to boot!
Plus the view is priceless!

Cheers!

Yes, I do. LE, but consider...  If there is a deliberate attempt to adulterate water supplies, find out what They test for - and use something different, eh?  I know They are not openly putting fluoride in...  But what of pharmaceuticals surreptitiously added?  Could be.  All I know is that I have not felt "right" here, and that is one thought I have had.  I may be fully off the mark.

I eat organically, buy (too) expensive eggs when I can fit them in the budget (which just shrunk - no more food stamps - longish story - but a friend here (different friend) is giving Me organic food), so I don't know why I am out of sorts and thought, since what I consume the most is water (Britta filtered as far as that goes), perhaps that's the source.  Or maybe this is just not the best energetics...

We have one of these within twenty miles in Tarpon Springs, FL, and although they say it's cleaned up the water coming from the banks of the Anclote River nearby at low tide has an oily sheen and smells of chemicals still. The federal authorities insist that it isnt anything to worry about, but as a fisherman in that very river, Ive seen a marked decline in the quality of fish, and a definite change in the size average of them, too.

POLLUTION LOCATOR| Superfund | Site Description

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Suffolk County Epa report on the groundwater there:
Site Name:      SMS INSTRUMENTS, INC.
EPA ID:      NYD001533165

Conditions at proposal (October 15, 1984): SMS Instruments, Inc., overhauled military aircraft components in Deer Park, Town of Babylon, Suffolk County, New York, between l97l and l983. The site consists of a one-story building occupying 34,000 square feet on a l.5-acre lot that is largely paved. Industrial wastes generated from degreasing and other refurbishing operations were routinely discharged to a leaching pool on-site. In l979-80, the Suffolk County Department of Health detected solvents in the pool. The county installed monitoring wells, which proved to be contaminated with 1,1,1-TRICHLOROETHANE. Ground water is the only water supply source in the area. A public well field and pump station are less than 1 mile south, the general direction of ground water flow. Over 10,000 people draw drinking water from wells within 3 miles of the site. In March l980, the county issued a modified Consent Order to SMS. Violations at the site included effluent discharges in excess of ground water standards and criteria, improper storage and disposal of hazardous wastes, and failure to apply for a State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit. Subsequent investigations at the site during l98l revealed 70 drums stored outdoors unprotected, some showing evidence of corrosion and leakage. Also in l98l, an underground 6,000-gallon jet fuel tank failed a pressure test, suggesting an additional threat to ground water. The site is 75 feet above sea level. Topography is generally flat with the exception of a steep embankment leading to a large basin 50 feet from the eastern property line. The basin recharges ground water. The headwaters of Sampawams Creek, which feeds into Guggenheim Lakes, lie l mile southeast. Belmont Lake State Park is less than 2 miles south-southwest. The immediate vicinity is light industrial, but predominant land use in the surrounding area is commercial and residential. Approximately 5,000 residences are within l mile of the site. Several schools are to the south. Status (June 10, 1986): EPA is considering various alternatives for this site.

Not to say this is the issue you are having specifically, but just to point out how the confidence of the EPA is lacking, as thats what they said about our superfund site her, and personally, I have seen the inversion of such a report, with nasty smelling water in the river and residents who tell me there animals have a high rate of cancers.

Heres our site, the Stauffer Chemical plant directly on the Anclote River.

Site Name:      STAUFFER CHEMICAL CO. (TARPON SPRINGS)
EPA ID:      FLD010596013

Florida Stauffer Chemical Co. is located in an industrialized area between Anclote Boulevard and the Anclote River in Tarpon Springs, Pinellas County, Florida, about 1.6 miles east of the Gulf of Mexico. Stauffer purchased the 160-acre facility from Victor Chemical Works in 1960. The facility's ownership has changed several times; it is currently owned by Stauffer Management Co. From 1950 to 1981, the facility manufactured elemental phosphorus from phosphate ore. The processed ore was shipped off-site to be used primarily for production of agricultural pesticides, food-grade phosphates, and flame retardants. During the years of operation, a number of processing wastes were disposed of on the site. A system of seven unlined lagoons, about 600 feet from the Anclote River, received discharges of waste scrubber liquid and phosphorus water, as well as overflow from a CALCIUM silicate slag pit. At some time, two of the lagoons were dredged, and the dredged material, composed of CALCIUM sulfate/sulfite, CALCIUM silicate, CALCIUM FLUORIDE, phosphate sand, and calcined phosphate dust, was placed in two piles approximately 40 feet from the Anclote River. Other on-site disposal activities included the dumping of furnace dust in an isolated pond and the burial of 900 drums of calcined phosphate sand consisting of 20% elemental phosphorus. Over 500,000 tons of chemical process wastes were disposed of on the site between 1950 and 1979. The site is underlain by a surficial aquifer composed primarily of sand and the Floridan Aquifer composed of limestone. Water is reached at an average depth of 8 feet below land surface. The Floridan Aquifer is encountered at 17 to 37 feet and is approximately 100 feet thick in the area of the site. On-site monitoring wells into both aquifers are contaminated with BARIUM, CHROMIUM, LEAD, VANADIUM, ZINC, COPPER, and ARSENIC, according to EPA tests conducted in 1988 and 1989. The 1989 tests found these metals in the on-site waste piles. An estimated 8,500 people in the Tarpon Springs area receive drinking water from 23 public wells and 3 private wells located within 4 miles of the site. Because of the depths of the aquifers, all drinking water wells within 4 miles of the site are potential targets. EPA's 1988 and 1989 tests also detected most of the same HEAVY METALS in the Anclote River. Surface water runoff from the facility could flow south/southwest and enter the Anclote River, which is used for fishing. From there, the Anclote River flows 1.6 miles and empties into the Gulf of Mexico. Although no surface water intakes are located along the drainage pathways of the site, numerous county parks, State parks, and beaches are present and are extensively used. In addition, several wetlands that support a number of endangered and protected species are located along the surface water pathway. (The description of the site (release) is based on information available at the time the site was scored. The description may change as additional information is gathered on the sources and extent of contamination. See FR 5600, February 11, 1991 or subsequent FR notices.)

Needless to say, this website has an enormous number of sites all around the country, downright frightening!

Keep that Brita full, Amy! ;)

Oh, dear.  Oh dear, oh dear.  Yeah...  I don't know if Britta does anything for trichlorowhatzit, but SOMETHING is making Me not at top notch.

I can hardly wait to get out of here to someplace clean!  I can only hope that You'll be there too!

Boy oh boy! GA is looking pretty good!
Honestly you probably wont see me there until the S really hits the F, and we have a plan, thats all I can say.

I would welcome living anywhere like that, and rest assured, you will be safe and sound there.

I would, if I were you, brush up on some gardening lessons if you dont already know how, and maybe study some websites on triage and outdoor health care.

Also, where that site is, is on a creek, checking out some hydroelectric tech isnt a bad idea, too.

With your ability to learn and learn quick, youll be the biggest asset to the group, and will fit right in.

And of course if there was one thing I would pray for in your behalf, it would be the safe return of your daughter to your household.(yes I do pray, just to the collective:))

That you deserve more than anything!

can i suggest something?

have you ever heard of Dr. Emoto?

you can try this..doesn't cost anything and might be beneficial for you
you can change the water yourself with simply your intent..
if you decide to give it a shot..let us know what you think
hugs

maybe this will help
http://www.life-enthusiast.com/twilight/research_emoto.htm

REIKO: Have you seen any difference between one person praying over water versus a whole group of people praying over water?

DR. EMOTO: Since the water reflects the composite energy of what is being sent to it, the crystalline structure reflects the composite vibrations of the group. So one person praying reflects the energy or intention of that one person. In terms of how powerful the effect can be, if you have one person praying with a deep sense of clarity and purity, the crystalline structure will be clear and pure. And even though you may have a large group of people, if their intention as a group is not cohesive, you end up with an incohesive structure in the water. However, if everyone is united together, you will find a clear, beautiful crystal, like one created by the prayer of a single person of deep purity.

In one of our experiments, we had some water on a table, and 17 participants all stood in a circle around a table holding hands. Then each of the participants spoke a beautiful word of their choice to the water. Words like unity, love, and friendship. We took before-and-after shots and were able to obtain some beautiful crystalline structures as a result of this. I have some slides that I will be showing of these crystals in my upcoming European tour.

REIKO: Is the water influenced immediately, or is there a time lag?

DR. EMOTO: In these cases we would freeze the water right away, so we could say that the water is changed instantaneously.

Littleenki

That stuff is true, Amy, and Sky is right on!

I saw a video once where they meditated over a source of water, and then froze it, and the crystals were so perfect it was clearly a big difference.

See it if you can, but I wasnt able to get the sound to work on the link.

Well, I'm not sure how good at gardening I am...  Given I can't kneel without pain, can't bend over for long without pain, work with much more pressure than a keyboard puts on My hands without pain...  Maybe I will be healed of this damn "rheumatological condition."  I may hope!  Had it since I was "vaccinated" as a child.  It's not rheumatoid arthritis, it's not lupus, but the head of rheumatology at Kaiser in Los Angeles (WAY back when I first looked into why I had so much pain) said He didn't have a name for it, but with the heat, slight swelling and pinkening of the joints, I definitely have a "rheumatological condition."

Only medicine I will take for it, sadly, is illegal.  But it works like a charm.

I have used that medication in the past, as well, Amy, and it did offer some relief.

As I dont use it anymore, I notice a bit more stiffness, and have found hydration is the key. Also, I take a chondroitin supplement and a liquid sublingual vitamin to offset the change in diet I often experience while travelling.

And I always have two cases of Zephyrhills water in my van storage compartment.

Somedays I miss that special medication, but then  just get on my treadmill, and limp my way to looseness!  ;)

I hope you find relief in the plains of GA, as the weather there is amazing, and dont fret, there will be many hands to help, and you will have a special place and duty there no matter what it is!

I like the job of Social and Philisophical consultant, to new arrivals, to clear their heads of the bad thoughts they may bring, and show the what abundance is all about!
You have shown me with aplomb, and Im takin' it to the bank(food bank that is).

I guess Im saying you would be the teacher, and we all would be the students!

Care for an apple? ;)(organic of course!) :)

Carl Sagan said most of HIS best ideas were while medicated...  He was a big fan of the medication.  So I am in good company!

Also...  It's an awesome stress reliever.  Those who "just want to get high" really just want to relieve stress.
