You're a pretty sharp guy Ron.  I'm not talking about scrap here.  If you're not aware of what is happening (and has happened over the last century) to the purchasing power of the $U.S. (and by association all fiat currencies) on the eve of imminent and massive "QE3" (or global stock markets collapse, a deflationary global depression ensues, etc...) then I'm not going to be of any help.  Friday's market trading was a shot across the bow.  Did you know that all fiat currencies throughout history have gone to zero in terms of their purchasing power?  Every single one.  Devaluation is guaranteed 100%.  Look into what the BRICS are doing to completely circumvent use of the $U.S. as a mechanism of settlement and how Iran has already engineered an alternative SWIFT network through which they can sell oil and facilitate commerce with said BRICS nations.  China and Japan have agreed to trade in Yuan/Yen directly.  Look at the DOW:gold ratio over the last decade in terms of real purchasing power of those "dollar" values.   Real inflation is running around 10%/year and increasing despite the doctored statistics the Reich publishes.  The days of the petrodollar as global reserve currency are numbered and all fiat currencies globally are tied to it.   I could go on and on but I'm not here to convince anyone of anything.  Keep all your "money" in a JP Morgan account if that's what you feel comfortable with.  Good luck.

All I care about at the moment is to get the house paid in full before the money is worthless. So its time to liquidate all that stuff I have been hoarding and do that.

how ya gonna pay your taxes, which never go away even when the house is paid for?  if you don't pay your taxes, they can still foreclose on your home.  which means, you don't really own your house.  might as well be renting and let the landlord pay the mortgage and fix the broken stuff, cause you'd lose your house either way when the money went kaput.

i say, best solution, learn to be a nomad lol

the nevada desert caravan. lol prc members will join.  you just need to map out a route and have stockpiles in the caves along the way. a book on nevada desert edibles, snake bite, scorpion bite kits, medical kits, music, a portable satellite that can run a lap top (errm if there's a public channel that's free anyway), a solar panel set up that can run a water from air generator, then we'd all just move from cave to cave, resting at each stockpile.  oh and we'd need some dogs to protect the stockpiles.  say about 50 or so doberman pinchers should do it. lol

ALTERNATIVELY, we could have a caravan of boats that follow each other up and down the coast line.  have converters that turn salt water into fresh water, water from air thingy, solar panel set ups etc.  fish for food.  or we could all pitch in for one big boat with all the same amenities and lots of bedrooms.  would need a way to defend it though.  i'm thinking there's practically nowhere on the planet at this point, that people could go and thrive under the current system, if it completely tanked.

we need to think about this carefully.  if everyone paid in gold and silver, pretty soon it wouldnt be worth anything either.  especially if the rumor that china is sitting on more gold than has been known to exist in written history is true ,  we'd need some commodity that will be sure to be in demand, eco friendly, non toxic and non threatening to the other big wigs that want to own everything and everyone,  everywhere.  talk about power trips.

eek, now i really got it.  a tax free org. that isn't religious, so it isn't blown up by hoardes of angry anti-religious people. lol buy a nice big plot of land and register it as a tax free org, that provides some kind of commodity to the marketplace as a green energy type of service. then we can all move there and avoid most of the problems ( i say "most" because when things get all crunchy around the edges, almost any excuse can be concocted to take your stuff)

Glad I started a bit of a discussion anyway.

Taxes I will pay with government money   And that works because back in Germany when it cost 10,000 marks for a loaf of bread, the money issues daily from the government matched the value of the inflation.  So I expect my union pension (which I just filed for 5 years early) my Canada pension (maxed out before I moved here) and the US pension to cover taxes

I have that covered as well  and we have the necessary equipment to handle 60 people in comfort. This is my Nomad Package

I have been out in the Nevada desert for years  I have yet to see a snake... I saw one small scorpion in the city on a porch and one tarantula under a trailer I was changing a wheel on at John's gold mine.  Those critters are not a real problem out here. They avoid you as much as you avoid them unless you stick your hand into a hole. Black widow a lot  in wood piles but easy to control  Recluse can be bad... never saw one yet either

Desert is full of free food.. Prickly pear cactus, tamarin (sp?)and Yucca root can even be bought at the grocery store.

HOWEVER  it is HOT out here  yesterday we had 110 in the sahde under my tree and I got a little heat stroke. Today its back to 92 (looks like the chemtrail planes were busy )

And its not even July yet
