WTH? I guess Canada & Great Britain will be added to the list of terrorist nations???  :o  ::)  ;D

QuoteThe Committee concluded that a huge number of fake electronic parts being used in the production of military aircraft, night vision devices, radio stations and GPS navigation modules pose a serious threat to national security.
Among others, the use of counterfeit electronic parts has been proven on the Alenia C-27J Spartan medium-sized military transport aircraft, Boeing's P-8A Poseidon long-range surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft, Lockheed Martin's turboprop military transport aircraft C-130J Super Hercules and Sikorsky's SH-60B Seahawk helicopter used by the US Navy.
About 70 per cent of the fake electronic microchips were traced as being produced in China; the rest came from Canada and Great Britain.

Is the U.S. that trusted that even their allies have to keep tabs on them?   ::)

i dunno sometimes i think it's all just a big disinfo thing, such as the insistence that americans are obese and lazy.  i was just watching that video made in, i think it was baltic ocean?  those guys weren't amercians, were all middle aged, and only one of out of maybe 5 or more, wasn't fat.  it just happens when you get older, unless you're starving.  your metabolism slows down and your health begins to steadily decline.  to suggest that's an american only trait and to encourage that viewpoint by harping on it ourselves, is falling right into the pattern of brain washing the media uses against the ordinary every day people, and the not so ordinary as well.   this is just more of that.  they don't let this stuff out into the public unless there's a public relations, social engineering reason.

i think it's just more obvious because we have a huge population of baby boomers right now, in their middle age years.  they're probably trying to figure out how to get people to go along with the idea of not paying back the social security they promised the baby boomers, who paid into the program, which was then raided and spent on who knows what.  and now that they've spent all our social security retirement  funds and raided everyone's retirement cds, they are working on making sure they don't have to support several million baby boomers they charged social security taxes too.  so now we're all lazy good for nothings, apparently.

p.s. and it isn't americans that are doing this to americans. it's international.  they've had our military going around the world, fighting their battles, and then accusing us of being worthless, fat and lazy, in the press, out of the other side of their mouths.

methinks it's a lead up to, as i've said before, excuses to kill alot of americans (cause they owe us alot of money and man power hours) and have the world praise them for it.

As a mechanic for years, I observed the parts as they came apart from cars and trucks, and almost always there was the ubiquitous "made in Canada" sticker on them.

Our chips arent any better, just easier to verify, and in this world of businesses that cut quality to make an extra buck, what did they expect?

You cant build any device or machine anymore without using parts from other countries, so were outta luck!

Unless of course, we decide to start using all of our unemployed folks to build a new industry, and become self sufficient again. And the rich PTB would have to allow the downtrodden to have a say in society, and that would go against their doctrine.

I believe if we were to seceed to some degree from the rest of the world, the temporary suffering would be worth it in the long run, and I hate to use an American company to make this point but....

If you buy something from Walmart, chances are it will break or fail within a year.

Heck, we are a disposable society anyways, so why not make everything we have crappy and cheap, so the big shots make a buck, and the consumer get the shaft.

Go ahead soccer moms, throw it away and buy another, it's the American way! Well it didnt used to be. And it doesnt have to be.

When you want something done right, youve got to do it yourself is the analogy, I guess.

Ok folks bring the disagreements, as debate is healthy, and please dont stick up for Walmart as your words will fall on deaf ears.

It seems the trend shifted away from quality as at some point someone realized that if the products did not last so long and there was a demand then it didn't matter if it broke after a year as the manufacturer had anticipated you would return to buy replacement...they double their profit form your returning every year. They don't seem to realize they could sell one 2x as good for 2x the money and still break even. That is not greedy enough. Money drives this society until someone changes the economic model of the planet we are headed for self destruction.

Littleenki

Right on Ellirium! Our business leaders have sold their soul for a buck or two more, and what really irks me is when these products take a dump, they end up in a landfill, polluting the aquifers with a cocktail of chemicals and pcbs to knock a drunk on their arse.

It started with the baby boomers, and their slash and burn mentality, and has carried through to the yuppies, who hold their supposed right to waste and hog the environment on high. And god forbid we point out the overpopulaters, they know who they are!

Trojans for everyone!

Not to mention the desire for a new car every few years most folks possess, and I use the word possess with firmness, as look at the number of cars to people...almost one to one nowadays.
I guess we will have to hit rock bottom and watch the wasters and energy hogs suffer the blow, while we have to figure out what to do with their piles of useless crap they leave after they die in two weeks due to their iphone service not being available! Ouch!

sigh, back to the stereotyping, eh LE?  and here we were getting along so well.

i am a baby boomer, as is my husband.  neither of us own, nor have we ever owned, iphones, ipads or laptops.  we do have a cellphone, and then only because my husband's brother got it for him so they could use that call for free feature of one of the cellphone providers (et. al, they did it because normal long distance phone calls are too expensive and his bro doesn't have access to a pc on a regular enough basis).

i recycle.  i use herbs to heal my family, where possible.  i homeschooled all 3 children.  one is a vegetarian.  all 3 are karate experts, particularly the oldest who is a sensei in Okinawan goju ryu.  one plays the cello.  i play 12 string guitar, clarinet, piano, and some skill with the harmonica.

we share one vehicle between 4 of us, while my oldest son and his wife, have their own vehicle and their own cellphone. this is because they were married and lived in another state and needed to be able to keep in touch, again using call for free, cellphone features.  they have since moved in with us because the economy effected his job.

we are not rich, we are not greedy, we are not polluters, and we are not a good 80% of the other negative stereotypes pasted on americans or christians in particular, these days.

when we became christians we inherited via osmosis or something, the bad behavior of other human beings who called themselves christians.   we didn't actually do those things ourselves.  when we were born in america, we inherited via osmosis or something, every negative stereotype pasted on americans.  we didn't actually do or we don't actually do, a good 80% of that stuff ourselves.   you understand that part right? and we aren't alone.  there are millions of americans here who have similar stories.  why are we all being heaped into the same negative pile?  think now.   think think.

I have an economic plan for all of those millions of you who shop at Walmart! Its easy to implement.

Simply go on a " matching rule".....everytime you check out in that WalMart line..... match that amount and put it in savings. If you can't afford to do that? Then reduce your shoping to where you can. Its a simple technique. Most of the stuff the gets purchased there is not vital to our existance..... try it. If everyone in the United States did that.... even if it was one day a week... Think of the effect, long term.   Linda

i don't do the shopping.  hubby does almost everything. he works, pays the bills, does the grocery shopping and cooks the food. i get tired, to the point of being ill, just going to the restaurant.  i can do housework in spurts of no more than 10 minutes.  after that, my internal temperature gauge gets stuck and it takes upwards of 30 minutes to cool off.  i am not indicative of most amercians.  i was in a coma.  it screwed up automated function, like body temperature regulation.  it did short term memory damage.

hubby is himself, 70% disabled, and still works a full time job to take care of me and our kids, who at this point, don't have much of a future. yet somehow, we are to blame for stuff we never did.

Well, Undo, with all due respect, you are the exception not the rule.

Too many children not enough resources is the doctrine of most baby boomers, hence the name...baby boomers, and as far as I said, the yuppies had the cell phones and such, not baby boomers.
Sucking on the iphone every minute of every day while ignoring nature and their surroundings. Leaving all the doors open so their kids can run in and out without opening doors every time, wasting electricity because they can afford it. It is clear.

You are a different one for sure, yet make no mistake, the baby boomers started it and the yuppies are perpetuating it.

More mouths means less resources, and thats just irresponsible in any society, ask the Rapanui from Easter Island about running out of food because every man had to have 3 or more children, and where did that lead...yep, overpopulation!

Yuppies? I dont lend much creedence to them as they are typically brainwashed old navy shoppers with no personality or care for resources.

Thank goodness the new generation is adhering to the planet's needs, and trying to have less children and doing more for others.

It's just an observance I have seen for years, and anyone will agree with the fact we have too many people doing too little for the world.
Deadweight is what they are, and when the time comes they will be like the folks running from Godzilla like ants as they dont have a clue to whats going on around them.

No poke towards you, as Ive learned you are special and different, and you know Im right on a lot of this stuff, just that it's hard to say it and not sound negative.

Just an observance, not an opinion.

Cheers!

Well, first off .... you have already demonstrated that your family is far from the " ordinary " family. So why should you feel that anyone is blaming you for anything.... when nothing that they think or say applies to you and you know it?

Anybody here blame you? I dont.... but yet.... you take all of these statements on as if they were aimed directly at you. Thats not so!

And why should YOU have to defend those  people who that criticism does apply to? Let them defend themselves! There are sure enough of them!!!! Others who are like you know that all those nasty things don't apply to them.....

I am just pointing that out because I think that you have added that burden to your shoulders which really shouldn't be yours to have to carry. So just throw it down.

Just a thought. Keep it or throw it down too!!!!!  <g>  Linda

no, "yuppies" are not the problem either.  that's another stereotype.  generation whatever isn't at fault either.   this is the normal progression of a technological society.    you are the victim of huge propaganda campaign to explain away the reason to not pay back the huge population of baby boomers, the money that was taken from them in the form of "social security taxes" which was meant as a form of "old age insurance".  the international rulers of this country, decided to loot the social security funds of americans, stealing the labor of their entire lives,  and now they don't want to pay it back.  so they declared a propaganda war on us instead.

sorry but it's the truth.

if one day the international rulers decided people named linda should be villified, you would appreciate me pointing out the very obvious fact that stereotypes are a big stinking pile of bullcrap.

They sucked that S.S. money up with weighing down our infrastructure with too many children, Undo.

Bought what they couldnt afford, lived like they werent able to sustain.
A classic case of greed and carelessness that caused them to wallow in their own mistakes.

The companies that did that to them were owned by their peers.
Relying on a pension isnt a way to live, and every concession should be made to hand down a planet better than the last generation had.Even if it means working extra hours to pay the bills, they reap what they sow.

Hard work is key, and respect for nature is number one, so advancing technological society or not, too many people means not enough resources.

And yuppies? plastic self centered folks most of them, who havent a clue as to how to live within their means.
Can you say mortgage crisis for god's sake?
Hummers for Bobby, and Suzy with matching tires?
Give me a break, noone here will argue for yuppies.

Besides, why do you feel a need to stick up for any of them?
Youre not one, you know, youre the other ten percent, who cares and makes an effort.

I give you all the credit you deserve in life for how youve raised your kids and instilled good ethics in them, but if half the rest of the other baby boomers did that wed be ok. They dont. They havent.

I stand by my observations, as my eyes and ears dont lie, so maybe we just agree to disagree once again, Undo, but I never pointed any fingers at you specifically, and your attempt to disprove my observations will be futile, as long a my fingers can type!:D

Give yourself some credit for not being that way, and dont place the blame on propoganda, as thats stereotyping as well, and you yourself said it isnt right to do that. Especially for me, as many tell me, I dont listen! :o

Stereotypes? Nope just definitions with a very high percentage of correctness.

Observations, not opinions.

Hugs for you and yours, I think youre cool no matter what, Undo.
